WWE Superstars Spoilers: December 6th, 2012

Spoilers for this week’s Superstars:

* Brodus Clay (w/Cameron & Naomi) beat David Otunga. Hornswoggle was the special guest timekeeper, Great Khali was the special guest referee, and Natalya was the special guest commentator. A few minutes into the match, Rosa Mendes came down to ringside with a bouquet of flowers and started hitting Hornswoggle with it. Natalya left commentary and attacked her. They fought on the floor. While everyone was distracted by this, Otunga attacked the Funkasaurus from behind. It did not have much of an effect, as Clay won with a splash. Khali made the count from a standing position.

After the match, Funkasaurus, Cameron, Naomi, Hornswoggle, Natalya, Khali, and a bunch of kids all danced in the ring.

You got that right. Probably not gonna bother with this one. Such a shame Naomi is languishing in this godforsaken dancing role. Naomi and Nattie should be tearing down the house, f’n WWE.
Has anyone seen Eve?I hear she is the Divas champion. Figured she would want to cement herself as the dominant figure in the Divas division after her PPV victory. I guess fitting two Divas matches into 7 hours of weekly programming is too much to expect.

Eve is the Divas champion, she should be featured every week. The only reason the Divas champion should not be featured is in a circumstance like last week, when Eve was visiting the troops. Thus she has been absent one week too many, not acceptable.
It’s too easy to forget about someone, for say, a thrid week when they are not featured consistently. The WWE wonders why characters never get established, their booking and story arc are generally terrible.
Eve should be being booked as cunning and manipulative outside of the ring. Inside the ring Eve’s ju-jitsu should be heavily featured to make her appear as dangerous inside the ring, as she is outside the ring. But F all that we wont spend ANY time building her character for a couple weeks, no big deal right?
If they are planning for an Eve vs AJ megafeud for Wrestlemania season, then Eve’s character should be being booked very strongly starting now and through most of WM season. Otherwise AJ’s title victory will not seem like as big a deal as it should.

I am very aware that Eve has been the Divas champion for quite awhile. Either your sarcasm meter is broken, or I need to do a better job applying a thicker layer of sarcasm. In any case, not a big deal.

really….. pg wwe makes me sick! wasting talent like naomi and natalya, and even worse making them dance with an overweight prehistoric, the leaning tower of india, and the hobbit from the shire under the ring…. and of course cameron…. this is why i dont even bother to tune in, what for, 3 shows a week, 4 if you include main event and the divas get stuck in this ridiculous role… raw is 3 hours and we are lucky if the divas get a segment much less a match that isnt 2 mins long, superstars well i dont really have to comment there it speaks for itself, and smackdown….. *le sigh* its all really depressing…. creative needs a good kick in the rear! and a fresh face to come up with storylines other than random matches and dancing gimmicks!

If this leads to a Natalya/Rosa match I won’t complain. It’s not like this took up time on Raw…though hell, it would have at least got them on TV.

Does that even qualify as a “gimmick?” I mean doesn’t EVERYONE have a farting gimmick? Speaks VOLUMES about the WWE creativity at this point. When people are being PAID to write, and pitch ideas, no one should be stuck with a pointless gimmick– a non-gimmick. Sure there can be bad gimmicks, and gimmicks that do not get over for whatever reason. But no pointless gimmicks.

That’s my point, it is a non-gimmick. Natalya’s farting “GIMMICK” is so thoughtless it does not qualify as a gimmick. It is not a reasonable character building element. Maybe her finisher could be a stinkface where she rips one in her opponents face. Yeah, I don’t think so. That scenario is about the extent of attempting to incorporate that nonsense into a character.
“Everyone has a farting gimmick”, yes everyone farts it is so commonplace that it is impossible to consider it a gimmick. Toilet humor is the lowest form of comedy, thus it is not surprising that it is a mainstay in WWE programming. The only character who should be anywhere near such a stupid gimmick is Hornswoggle, his only role is a joke character.
Yes, my first comment in this section is slightly smarky, with good reason. My second comment is anything but smarky. My plan, or something similar to it would be a very good way to book Eve through to Wrestlemania. A potential feud between Eve ad AJ would be the most important Diva feud in a very long time. The WWE really needs to do a good job building their characters and the feud so that it seems important within the company and the audience.

That’s like saying there are Dead people out there so the Undertaker doesn’t have a gimmick as the ‘Dead Man’ or that Johnny Curtis is actually a ball room dancer as Fandango. You babble on like your points make sense when in fact all you’re doing it projecting your own ideas as superior to anything else. That gimmick was bad, I’ll give you that;,but it was still a gimmick….that’s all I’m saying.

I hope this (no shade) doesn’t lead to a Rosa match, I’m not sure if even Natalya can make Rosa look good. I dunno what happened to Rouka, she was decent in FCW & OVW, then gets to the main roster, and blows. I want to see Naomi wrestle!

I’m sorry, but I have to disagree. WWE dumbs down move sets, not ability. Her job is to make her opponent ( like Ivory said) to look better than they are, not botch left, right and centre. I’m not sure if she just hasn’t been practising enough or what, but I have yet to see her have a good main roster match.

Because every match she has is two seconds long, how can you look good in a squash? I seriously think people base her whole career off of her first Raw match and have tarred her with it. I mean she was good when she was Queen of FCW and that was while she was on the main roster, doesn’t that say a lot for how she’s used rather than her own skills?

Well, I’ve acknowledged that she was good in developmental, so was Aksana, but it doesn’t mean diddly if you can’t bring it to the main roster, she can be as skilled as she wants to be, and all that good stuff, but as far as I’m concerned she sucks on the main roster, whether its because she regressed or is a choke artist remains to be seen. Besides, time allotment is not a really valid excuse when the other divas get the same amount of time, like on this past RAW and manage not to mess up noticeable every match they’re in.

That makes no sense! How can you just be good, then come onto television and be bad, then be good back in development and then be bad? It’s inconsistent. You might have acknowledged it, but you don’t just yoyo like that when you’re in a company where you train (regardless of your role) most days of the week. Time allowance is different- Tamina and A.J. have a storyline so they’re not gonna say “go out for a minute and just let A.J. pin you, Tamina”. Rosa has never had a feud, she’s thrown into matches to get pinned so that her opponent looks strong by beating her quick and because she hasn’t got her own feud or solo career, no one cares about the damage too much.It’s entirely different from this past week, not all matches are booked the same….

Did any of the divas who had these 30 second matches of 2011-12 have feuds? For the most part, no. And I doubt, seriously doubt a company, whether they acknowledge it or not, who makes it’s bread and butter through WRESTLING is going to tell someone, “Hey, go botch every match you’re in! Botch a move with Kelly Kelly that requires you to stay still!”, again, she’s either regressed or is a choke artist, or like you said, inconsistent to be generous. She should just stick to being a valet until she can it together.

I don’t understand. You guys all complain that Natalya loses and she doesn’t do anything yet she is a commentator for a match and gets into a catfight with Rosa Mendes. You guys are never happy, lol. At least this is better then her farting gimmick that she was given. I know that I am actually rather looking forward to watching this.

Its good that nattie & rosa may get a match on tv…this could have been a way to introduce naomi as a wrestler & have rosa take cameron down rosa & naomi start alittle feud on superstars…well i can dream & at least nattie will win against rosa so people can’t complain…

See, this is the thing that bothers me about nearly all of you. People like to jump to conclusions and think that current storylines will ruin the superstar/diva’s future. Natalya has a storyline people! She is getting put on tv. Stop complaining. If somepeople would just let things play out without saying negative thing, and just see how it goes you might be surprised…just saying…..
