A Divas match has been added to the card for this Sunday’s TLC Pay-Per-View, but it won’t be taking place on the big show. Instead, it will air on YouTube as part of the PPV’s pre-show.
The match will be a Battle Royal to determine the #1 contender for Eve Torres‘s Divas Title. It will feature AJ Lee, Aksana, Alicia Fox, Kaitlyn, Layla, Natalya, Rosa Mendes and Tamina Snuka.

Not that I’d have a problem with AJ winning, but I just feel that she should get a shot at Wrestlemania because her vs. Eve at WM would be such a great match.

I’m hoping that Natalya wins, but if Alicia or AJ win I wouldn’t mind. I’d like to see AJ do more in a ring though, wrestling wise. The only other diva that I’d find interesting to face Eve would be Tamina, but that won’t be happening since they are both heel. Unless they curve us and Aksana wins. I don’t see much point in Layla, Kaitlyn, or Rosa winning. Kaitlyn and Layla have both already feuded with Eve over the title.. I don’t think it’d be interesting or feel fresh. And Rosa.. I like something about her, not sure what, but it’s not her wrestling skills.

There is going to be a number one contenders match, but it’s going to be a battle royal (which, with the exception of the RR, are always, ALWAYS nothing short of a complete and utter clusterfuck), and, if the graphic I saw is to be believed (I was on the phone and had the TV muted, so correct me if I’m wrong), they might be dressed up in fucking sexy santa outfits. Consider me the opposite of excited.
(If Nattie, through what could only be a Xmas miracle, comes out the winner, I reserve to right to take back this pessimistic comment.)

Maybe it’s just me, but I HATE battle royals other than the Royal Rumble. There always a mess because you can’t tell what’s going on with all those people in the ring and it’s just chaos until everyone but about four people are left. And I’m not just talking about Divas BRs either. The men never fair much better. No matter what, there’s always moments where someone is just standing around with no idea what to do because it’s impossible to fully put a match like that together beforehand.
Plus, a battle royal win is often an awful way to secure a new number one contender. Either the winner is totally obvious going in (like when Eve won the Halloween BR to challenge Beth) or so random that no one cares at all (like when Kaitlyn, who I honestly like, won awhile back. People were so confused that they actually thought it was a mistake). Sometimes it works well, like Nattie winning and taking on LayCool, but most of the time it’s a flop because the fans have no real investment in who wins.
Not to mention, having them dressed up in stupid costumes completely undermines the fact that they’re competing for a chance at a title match. That should be important and therefore not enfolded in a gimmick match. I don’t hate the costume matches because they can be fun in their own way, but I feel like stuff like this just further establishes the Divas as not important or worth being respected as legitimate and capable workers.
Sorry this is basically an essay, I’m in a shit mood tonight and I guess I just have a lot of feelings, LOL.

They will probably let Tamina eliminate most girls so she can look strong before she goes against Kaitlyn and after Kaitlyn is out, AJ “surprisingly” eliminates Tamina. Tadaaa…. huuuuuuge “surprise” there. -.-
So either Rosa and Aksana will pull a “catfight” to eliminate themselves simultanouesly like the last time or Rosa goes first as usual, Aksana follows, Natalya follows, Alicia, Layla, Kaitlyn, Tamina and the winner is… (drumroll) AJ! (yawn….).

I would be totally ok with aj winning, going on to face eve at tlc, and possibly having vickie messing that up for her. It will bring more attention to the match and to the title and division because of her popularity. Plus i can see eve and aj pulling off a great match which will hopefully start to rekindle some respect for the divas division.

I know that I said I’d want Alicia or Natalya to win because I want them to wait to give AJ the championship push til wrestlemania,but I wouldn’t mind seeing her win honestly because 1.she’s one of my favorites 2.she has the fanbase & 3.she deserves it.Plus,I think her winning could add more to her current feud with Vickie and give us an actual program between her and Eve.These two have faced each other before and have had good chemistry,but it also left me with wanting to see more from the two.So if AJ does win,WWE better give both her and Eve the time needed to build up the title match.

I don’t think AJ is gonna win, and if she does, Vickie will screw her over either moments after the battle royal (which would be bad for Eve, considering her championship reign is forgotten about due to her unfortunate elbow injury), or at the title match later on the night.
I think they’ll do another unannounced Divas Championship match though, just like last year.

Besides Eve, AJ is the only Diva with fan support so it only makes sense for her to win. Only other person I see winning is Kaitlyn due to her ties with AJ and hatred for both Eve and Vickie. Her win is the only other that could be cohesively tied in with the current AJ/Vickie feud. And I suppose Tamina and to a much lesser extent Aksana, but I highly doubt either of them will get it.

About the match…I really hope for a long build up to a WM match between Eve & AJ,but since it’s only December I think it’ll be better somebody else to get the win…and this is the tricky part since no other diva is really suitable. Faces are Kaytlin,Layla (both already defeated by Eve) ,apparently Alicia & Nattie are some-what of faces,but since Alicia is not used as a strong force I don’t see her winning and Nattie is already in a storyline with Rosa.A new face is not gonna debut in that Battle Royal since the pre-show is not televised. Only rational choice is AJ or Tamina. I’d like to see Tamina win.That way she’ll justify her little promo in which she said noone is safe and earn some power.That will also help to continue the AJ/Vickie/Tamina thingy.
All I really want is the things to play in a way that will leave AJ vs Eve at WM with an appropriate amount of time and build up.
