Quieter than Father Christmas placing presents in homes on Christmas Day, WWE have changed the line-up to the TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs pre-show match featuring the Divas.
Former RAW General Manager AJ Lee has been removed from the ‘Santa’s Helper’ Number One Contender’s Battle Royal whilst The Funkadactyls Cameron and Naomi (FINALLY!) have been added to the match.
The aforementioned funky duo will do battle with Aksana, Alicia Fox, Kaitlyn, Layla, Natalya, Rosa Mendes and Tamina Snuka in the hope that they will be next to challenge WWE Divas Champion, Eve Torres.
Thoughts: It seems like WWE wasn’t quite ready to have AJ in the title picture and they didn’t want her to lose momentum by losing so they have removed her, which is a bit of a shame. However, it’s amazing to know that Naomi, one of WWE’s brightest ever developmental prospects, will finally make her in-ring debut. If she wins, funk will most certainly be on a roll!

I think they should have kept her in and had her interact with Tamina for most of the match. Maybe Tamina goes to eliminate AJ, but AJ manages to pull her out too.

Finally, Naomi and Cameron get to compete : ) I’m more excited about seeing Naomi compete though, no offense to Cameron. This is the greatest news I’ve heard all day. WWE finally answered our prayers and listened to us for a change.

Btw, it is kind of a shame that AJ was removed,but I think they did it mainly for storyline purposes.Plus,I think WWE future championship plans for AJ *cough* Eve vs. AJ at WM for the Divas Championship.

Also, I will cut a bitch if Naomi is one of the first to be eliminated. I don’t have much hope that she’ll win, but a solid performance could be the best way to start transitioning her from dancer to wrestler.

I literally jumped for joy when I read this on dot com! Ecstatic for Naomi but I know her odds of winning is the same as Rosa Mendes.
As for Cameron, I wish Melina was still in the WWE. I bet she’d be so happy to have her idols in her debut match lol.

Well this changes things quite a bit…I expect to AJ to still have something to do at TLC but it’ll most likely be during the Cena/Ziggler match or in a segment with Vickie. As for the match, I’m excited to hear about the Naomi thing. It’s harder to predict the winner for sure. I could see Kaitlyn or Layla most likely taking the win, with Natalya coming up third in the chances. I would go nuts if Naomi won (in a good way) but I highly doubt that’ll happen.

AJ won the divas championship at a house show back in November. Go to youtube and type in, Aj wins the divas championship. I really think they should have counted the reign even thoughthe match was restarted.

They didn’t count it because they were doing it on all the house shows for awhile. She would have been like a seven or eight time champion already if they counted all of them.

The matches with AJ, Eve, and Layla were all restarted right then and there, therefore negating the win and the title change. Also, it was a scripted part of the night each time. Reportedly, Mickie’s brief title reign at a house show was unscripted and happened when the third person in the triple threat forgot to kick out. They went with the mistake, counted the reign (which probably lasted under an hour) and had Melina demand her rematch and win the title back later that night. It was a one-time fluke. The ‘AJ wins, Vickie restarts the match, Eve retains’ thing was repeated for at least half a dozen house shows. No way were they going to pad anyone’s stats like that by counting them.

If we don’t get AJ vs Eve for the Divas Title at WrestleMania, then we will never get a Divas Title match at WrestleMania, period. Right now Eve is on the top of her game in the Divas division; meanwhile AJ is one of the Top stars of WWE and is practically one of their “main eventers”. It’s literally the perfect storm.
As for Beth vs Kharma at WM, that was probably the plan, however Kharma’s state of mind after her miscarriage, probably had more to do with that match getting nixed than anything WWE-related.

Because Kharma was a surprise entrant for the Royal Rumble match later that night. Which would have gotten a bigger pop for her: interupting a “bathroom break” match that was added onto the card at the last second; or being announced as a shock entrant in the Royal Rumble match? Especially, when she did so while Michael Cole was busy taunting and getting the crowd all riled up.

Naomi needs to win this. No one wants to see Kaitlyn v. Eve pt. 2900402 and no one wants to see another Eve vs. Layla, and we know they’re not gonna put developing heel Tamina vs. “top” heel Eve…and everyone else is sadly irrelevant, so at least give the division something fresh & new with Naomi becoming the lead wrestler with Cameron by her side.

Actually she had several televised matches but down in fcw till it got changed to NXT.
I’m very happy and excited to see her and cameron finally compete on the main roster though. :)

I’m guessing they wanted to save the AJ appearance for the Cena/Ziggler match (and I bet they’ll make that match the main event- they do the Shamus/Big Show match early in the PPV, Ziggler cashes in immediately after that to win the title saying he doesn’t have to do the ladder match since there’s no briefcase at stake, then Vince makes it for the title)- I’m thinking AJ is gonna take a big bump during the PPV…
As for who wins the battle royal? Probably Layla or Kaitlyn…I’m thinking Layla is more likely. If it’s not one of those two I’ll be pleasantly surprised…

This is exciting and surprising! It’s strangely random that they took AJ out but adding Caomi is amazing. They FINALLY get to debut as wrestlers. Another thing that’s amazing is the winner will actually be unpredictable because I don’t see Layla or Kaitlyn getting pushed at the title again for awhile!

i have a feeling that alicia fox or natalya will win. alicia has been more active lately as a face competed against tamina 2 weeks ago then against eve just yesterday. so theyre establishing her as a face and natalya been active as a valet more then a competitor but shes a face now so layla and kaitlin already went against eve and both been defeated it looks one of those 2 will be the winner, naomi and cameron is just added on as extras no offense to them. but i see alicia or natalya taking this battle royal.
