Kaitlyn really improved a lot. I don’t know, why Layla has improved…
Eve also did improve her charackter. Sad that she didn’t make the top 3!

*why Layla is on this list.

Mia Yim for me.

I think Katlyn has improved quite a bit but this award should’ve went to Reby Sky or Tessmacher. In my opinion Katlyn has a little more improving to do, & with Del Rey doing the training, I believe she can unleash her power & perhaps be the next Beth Phoenix.

Del Rey isn’t training the main roster girls. I don’t know why people think that.
The ones that do house shows especially won’t be getting trained by her.

She is training main roster girls..
Jim Ross said on twitter that she is doing a great job, because of a match between Alicia and Layla. She trains them both!

I’m not too sure.
The ones that do that house shows don’t have the time since they’re on the road almost every day.
Maybe the ones that already live in Tampa.

Actually you both are right. Del Ray trains the main girls when they go to development, JR praised a match between Alicia/Layla that was actually a dark match for NXT. But otherwise unless they go down for NXT tapings she doesn’t train them whatsoever.

Meh, seems about right to me.

If anything it would be one of the few awards that someone from WWE DOESN’T win.

Agreed.
People who hate on Chyna are just upset that the modern day barbie dolls can’t have matches with men.
Or matches at all, tbf.
And anyway, Blac Chyna is a rapper.

But this should go to tessmacher, I was so impressed with her during 2012

I hate how WWE/TNA biased these polls are. I understand since they are on free TV, more people see them, but its a shame that some like Leva Bates who has had some incredible matches this year doesn’t get recognized because she’s not on TV constantly.
Rhawk Reply:

I agree completely. Even though I always though Leva was great in the ring so being more improved would have been wrong for me to say. But I see your point and there being too many WWE & TNA fans on here, mostly WWE.

So what? I mean I think the fact that indies are even nominated is an honor, because not everyone does or can watch them. It’s not biased necessarily, but it’s just that the Divas and Knockouts are more known and easier to keep track of.
Too many WWE/TNA fans? How can there be too many? This is a women’s wrestling forum and those are the two biggest wresrling promotions (and most popular women’s divisions). Like, what do you expect? Lol Would you rather there be none of us and let women’s wrestling disappear from mainstream promotions?
Oh, I’m such an idiot, I forgot how uncool it was to be ~mainstream~**. Color me embarrassed.

I find it funny, that people don’t want to spend 10$ (that’s how much shine 5 was) but will spend 50 or 60$ to see Eve fight Katlyn for the 100th time! People think that its so hard to keep up with indie wrestling, but in all reality between youtube and sites like ringbelles, diva dirt, and even twitter its not that hard. Trust my I keep a very busy schdule and i’m able to keep up with the indies. ( and for the record I don’t think Katlyn or Eve are bad wrestlers I was just trying to make a point)
at 12:00 am
I don’t know now. I still think Eve should have won this. Not only has she improved in her wrestling skills she also improved in her character skills too. Kaitlyn though no doubt has improved in her wrestling skills too though.
at 12:06 am
Good choice she did improve….id say teassmacher mostly improved last year.
Leva Bates should have won personally.
at 12:13 am
I don’t understand the voting..
I think Kaitlyns matches are always slow, ugly and full of mistakes.
While Layla actually puts on decent, clean and well received matches nowadays. Same for Brooke.. Brooke has had some great matches this year.
But Kaitlyn? Can someone explain if I’m missing something?
Blac Chyna Reply:

This is exactly what im saying
at 12:22 am
Kaitlyn has definitely improved the most! Her in-ring skills have improved 200% since the beginning of 2012. She expanded her move-set and developed her character and mic skills alot as well. Tessmacher improved alot but not as drastically as Kaitlyn. Reby improved too but on a smaller scale and everyone else pretty much stayed the same in my opinion
theprincedann Reply:

Her matches are still piss poor.

A driver that can’t drive.
WHY DOES IT MAKE SENSE TO HAVE WRESTLERS THAT CAN’T WRESTLE? Ahem, every single diva. Natalya excepted.

Well you better get used to Kaitlyn because she is gonna have a better 2013 than Natalya

Lol what a Nattie mark. You mean to tell me that Nattie is the only female wrestler in WWE? Haha, just because wrestling wasn’t your 1st choice doesnt mean you’re not a womens wrestler. For example Alicia & Eve are 2 of the mosts talented girls on the roster. Did they come for the indies? No but have they worked their asses of to hone their crafts.
at 1:40 am
I pretty sure I went with Kaitlyn on this. I thought she improved alot since she came to the WWE. Obviously she isn’t the best on the list of women here but I gave her the vote this year. And I say again some of the women being on this list I don’t get.
at 2:05 am
I agree with this full heartedly. Kaitlyn has only been wrestling for 2 years & she’s already better than Aksana, Cameron, Rosa, & Tamina(Sorry). 2013 is her year.
at 2:19 am
Again, while my personal pick would have went to the lesser known girl (Leva Bates), I think Kaitlyn is a respectable recipient. From her consistent showings against Maxine and Tamina to her progression onto the main roster, Kaitlyn has worked tirelessly to purge the memory of her NXT3 nightmare. I thought her performance in the triple threat with Eve and Layla was great.
at 2:51 am
Good for Kaitlyn. I think she has grown so much!
at 3:39 am
I would have went with Tess on this one. I really don’t know what it is about Kaitlyn but I just can’t get behind her for the life of me. she has improved.. I’ll give her that! It should definitely been her or Tess.
at 8:16 am
I’d say Brook or Mia Yim.
Mikas Reply:
January 2nd, 2013 at 11:02 am
Mia Yim in Dec’2012 is almost the same as in Jan’2012. She naturally got more experience in the year, but its not a huge step like previous years. “Most improved” implies you make a huge step forward in your ability to wrestle.
I think Brooke and Kaitlyn are both good choices, they were trainwrecks in the ring a year ago, and both became watchable in 2012. That definately qualifies them for most improved. Reby Sky and Athena are also 2 good choices who made visible improvements during 2012.

Also did you see CVE vs Mia Yim from BLOW??? CVE showed off new impressive moves.
at 10:01 pm
Tessmacher’s year was last year even though she showed improvements this year Kaitlin has improved tremendously & she was the perfect choice for the award
at 10:54 pm
It was either her or Tessmacker…I’m happy with the result!
at 12:54 am
Don’t see any improvement. Kaitlyn’s matches are still horrible.
at 4:24 pm
I don’t think Kaitlyn would be on my Most Improved list. STILL has a lot of work to do. Women Wrestling on the independent curcuit is better.
at 9:25 pm
I like Kaitlyn and think she’s improved but Reby Sky should’ve won by a longshot.
at 2:43 am
Kaitlyn – 31% is the JaMarcus Russell of WWE she the first round bust!!!
AJ was the sleeper in that class of diva’s
