It’s January 1st, which means there will be plenty of well intentioned, if unfeasible, promises made for the year ahead.
We thought it might be fun to cook up our own humorous New Year’s resolutions for the women of wrestling, and of course, we want you to join in the fun, too, by coming up with your own and letting us know in the comments or on Twitter.
Here are some of our ideas:
AJ Lee | After making out with Daniel Bryan, Kane, CM Punk, John Cena and Dolph Ziggler in 2012, maybe stick to one guy in 2013? (And if you can’t, just keep your hands off Randy Orton.)
Layla | Find a new BFF, because we sense that you’ve not quite found your voice in the Divas division since Michelle McCool left. Maybe being part of a double act could bring out that personality we loved so much?
Jessicka Havok | Pick a new victim and torment her all year long. We love watching you kicking ass, but we really loved your year-long rivalry with Mercedes Martinez. It’s time to move on, though, and start a war with someone else.
Cheerleader Melissa | Regain your SHIMMER Championship.
Sunny | Make positive changes to your life. 2012 was tumultuous, you could say.
Natalya | Steal the show whenever you can. Sadly, the Divas Championship has eluded you for the past two years, but we know that anytime you’re in the ring, you have what it takes to make each match special.
Tara | Don’t let a man define you. It’s easy to get lose your train of thought while staring at Jesse’s abs, sure, but you’re Tara — a seven-time champion. You don’t need him to define who you are, so don’t let him outstay his welcome!
ODB | Find a new tag team partner. If Eric Young isn’t around enough to make a Knockouts Title defense, it might be time to find someone who can.
What New Year’s resolutions would you suggest?

J-Hav left Mercedes alone after June. It’s mostly been Reby Sky since.

Kaitlyn – Find a new BFF, one that will treat you right (and is more stable…), because AJ just didn’t cut it.

Eve – Stay fabulous. 2012 was your year and you need to make no changes <3

Sorry for the spam comments!
Alicia Fox – Find a new weave. Rihanna was SO 2012.

Give Layla Raquel Diaz’s gimmick, I think she could shine in it.

True. Layla has that natural goofiness to her character that it could come off effectively comical. Even if it did render her into a Jillian Hall jobber, it would still mean she would be on TV.

Cameron: No more lying to the police okay?
Alicia, Natalya, & Tamina: Could you guys choose a personality & keep it for one year?
at 7:01 pm
Alicia: see about being examined for multiple personality disorder.
Rosa: skilfully continue to avoid the employment queue in spite of meagre contribution.
Natalya: begin false memory repression therapy to try and unearth what the hell I did in a previous life to play Khali’s love interest in this one.
AJ Lee: target Cody Rhodes as the next WWE Superstar sex God I will make out with. This will complete my legend.
Aksana: find new eyebrows. Immediately.

Rosita y Sarita-find a way to get back on TV. If Tamina and Velvet can get back on TV in major roles. The 2 Spicy Latinas can too, even if they come back to feud with Rosita being a babyface.

Natalya and Alicia Fox – You’re both treading dangerous waters I fear, so its time to make it a point to revamp the image, get sexier if possible – bust out new moves, play a little kiss ass and pitch ideas to creative. Its time to up it, DO NOT become complacent! Melina and Maryse suffered because of this reason in my opinion. They might have still been around had they evolved like Lita/Trish.
Melina – Resurface and make an IMPACT in TNA. Why not? Melina put on some of the most memorable matches with the likes of Beth, Mickie, and McCool – the possibilities are endless in TNA.
Tara – More storylines with the guys and less time with the knockouts. We’ve seen her go at it with so many women, but besides this man candy, she really hasn’t been heavily involved the way other girls have been with main eventers. I’m interested to see her explore that territory.
Madison Rayne – I really liked her Queen Bee character and right now is fading. A resolution for her would be to revamp as well. Quick!
Velvet Sky – She’s charismatic and feisty, she’s not the greatest wrestler though so I think she needs to spend time with someone like Dean Malenko. I realize he’s not available (he works for the E), so try someone like him. She’s grown on me and I think refining the moveset and upping her game will help her out.
Mickie – Gail Kim – AJ – Eve – All done so well – Remain in the forefront in combinations of Championship reigns and engaging storylines in their respective companies.
Brooke Tessmacher – To keep improving and perhaps change up the lame USA outfits…they’re just so American Gladiators…get hip!
Maria – Return to WWE as a heel.
Vickie – Create somekind of storyline which will see the return of Lita to combat her. Even for a couple of shows only.
Kaitlyn – Keep improving and continue to surprise everyone
Layla – Turn Heel

Anya: please debut on NXT soon.
Tamina: work on your offense a little more, and build your monster heel /bodyguard character more.
AJ Lee: Try to have a long-term relationship :P
Naomi and Cameron: Compete together in tag team matches.

Mae Young: Stop getting knocked up and giving birth to random annoying things

Dixie Carter/ Brooke Hogan – Remember that you also employ Rosita & Sarita… USE THEM!
