The bellas left at the wrong time I feel they just started actually feeling their characters and getting things done right
I can say I miss them

  • http://www.youtube.com/xDivatoxicV3 MiPiMafia

Oh look, yet another WWE win. Most of the readers on here only watch WWE and TNA. Most, if not all of the winners of these awards voted by the readers are WWE and the 2nd and 3rd place are WWE or TNA.

Honestly, I voted for Midwest Militia but unfortunatley, there aren’t as much popular as mainstream competitors.

    • http://twitter.com/rodneyclint rodneyclint

I mean, the WWE and TNA are the McDonalds and Burger King of wrestling. Get over it.

      • scarlet spider

You mean they produce the wrestling equivalent of bland, tasteless food that’s popular purely due to ease of access?

        Yep, that’s true.

        • http://twitter.com/rodneyclint rodneyclint

I know you’re being a snarky skitch, but I love your response so much that I’m going to take the high road. And not just because I’m high.

    • Rhawk

Meh what can you expect? DD ‘fans’ only focus on the big company because, well, I’ll be honest here, they are too lazy to even bother to go out there and find a better alternative, because we all know there are better alternatives, at least in terms of womens wrestling.

      • Crazy_J

We’re not too lazy.. lmao.. sitting on your ass and buying dvd’s or ordering a show online or through your cable provider makes you NOT lazy? Because that’s all you have to do to watch other shows. Some of us need the money or time for other things..

        • puppies

I love how people who watch indies have this sense of superiority. Get over yourself lmao.

        • Rhawk

You also need time and even more money to watch (and stand through) WWE these days. Just an obversation. ;-)

        • EVEROCKS

Umm no. The ONLY time you need money to watch WWE is when you buy PPV’s.

        • Rhawk

          @EVEROCKS

True, but I wouldnt spend the price of WWE PPVs when I could watch iPPVS for half or a third of their price. Saving LOTS of money, and getting generally better quality matches. Thinking cheap yet thinking smart. ;-)

        • EVEROCKS

You dont have to buy WWE’s PPV’s. There is usually always a stream. Or you can just keep up with the results on WWE.com

      • http://twitter.com/DirrtySexyFunny Thaila

Are you serious? Just because you watch Indies does not make you more of a women’s wrestling fan than someone who just watches WWE and/or TNA. This will most likely come off as rude but your ignorance pains me something chronic.

  • http://twitter.com/rodneyclint rodneyclint

Yay! I miss the Bellas! I always thought that for models-turned-wrestlers they were pretty solid in the ring and had pretty good charisma. And I loved Twin Magic!

  • melina prez

Seriously…how did the Midwest Militia not win…..

  • divaindemise

Predictable and obvious, but what can one expect when superior tag teams are on inferior platforms. Oh well, at least the Bellas were vastly more entertaining when they turned heel.

    • http://www.heartbreakerscommunity.com/index.php Aria–

I really your comments and opinion, and you REALLY remind me of someone I knew from a forum; they had someone they called their “twin” or something, lol.

      • http://www.heartbreakerscommunity.com/index.php Aria–

        I really love*

      • divaindemise

        :)

        • http://www.heartbreakerscommunity.com/index.php Aria–

          :’(

  • scarlet spider

As if the Bellas winning wasn’t farcical enought, even Naomi and Cameron scored higher than the Ninjas, The Blossoms, the Midwest Militia, etc….

What little remaining doubt there was that Diva-Dirt was not an utter joke has now officially been removed.

    • WrestlingFan29

These are just fan-voted awards…what does the site have to do with it?

      • Rhawk

I think they’re on more about the community other than the site itself, since the site at least tries to promote other womens wrestling news on the site.

        • WrestlingFan29

Well I think a lot of people in the DD community can only watch what’s mainstream wrestling since it’s more available like TNA and WWE…matches fromthe indies are hard to find on youtube or dailymotion (like Shimmer…). A lot of the female wrestlers though, on the indies, are really talented, and I hope they get signed by either WWE or TNA since they have a lot of potential.

        • WrestlingFan29

          mostly watch*

  • k2evecrew

I’m suprised people voted for Naomi & Cameron all they did was dance until recently but I’m happy the Bella’s won

  • Rhawk

Called it! HAHA! CALLED IT! Typical DD Community. ¬__¬ Watch something different you lazy bums.

I mean 2 of these teams are no more, and 1 of them only danced for the whole year. WHen we had the likes of Made in Sin, Regeneration X, Glamour Gym, Canadian Ninjas, and Midwest Militia, all proving to be MUCH BETTER teams than these three.

But again, typical DD Community. ¬__¬

    • http://cmpunkscrazychick.tumblr.com xoxoRKOxoxo

Not saying that I don’t agree with you, but not everybody has the money to spend on every iPPV through out the year.

      • Rhawk

You make a good point, I mean I dont have the money to watch iPPVs and stuff like that, but even I at least read the results of shows online and see how well these stars and REAL tag teams are progressing over anything on TV at the moment.

But then I can also ask whats the excuse for people who watch WWE? I mean assuming they actually buy the PPVs that are around, what, twice as much as the regular iPPV from an independent show.

        • http://cmpunkscrazychick.tumblr.com xoxoRKOxoxo

If I know their is an iPPV going around I always read it on here and see what he people on here get to watch them think.

I was in all honestly speaking for me, I would also like to know what they choose to spend 60 bucks instead of how ever much an iPPV is. They only PPV I watch all year is WrestleMania, unless I catch a decent working stream. I know the best female wrestlers are in the independents. I try watch as much as I can on YouTube, but they are only so many thing I can do in the day.

  • http://cmpunkscrazychick.tumblr.com xoxoRKOxoxo

How the hell did the Midwest Militia not win, the Bella’s were really crap this year, and didn’t even wrestle the full calender year, so they shouldn’t have been included in the voting!!!

  • Rhawk

A part of me hopes the Divas Division will die and then people on here will bicth and moan, and I’ll just be laughing since they’ll think its the end of the world for them while I can safely watch real womens wrestling elsewhere.

Dont be hating, just staying the facts. ;-)

    • Mikas

Compared to last year the divisions in both WWE and TNA already HAVE died, they are just on life support right now.

      • Rhawk

And people still consider this debockle to be better than anything produced outside of mainstream wrestling, or rather people arent willing to watch anything outside of the WWE. I mean sure, its their lives and they can seclude themselves to one produce however bad or good it is. I mean I still watch WWE as a whole, but I also watch TNA. Then theres ROH, Shine, SHIMMER, Pro Wrestling EVE, and anything posted on this site in terms of indie wrestling results for females wrestling.

Im not saying Indie wrestling should rule the whole world, I want WWE to be big once again in terms of womens wrestling, same with TNA. I want womens wrestling as a whole to be respected by everyone who likes watching the women wrestle. But considering how bad and little a year TNA and especially WWE have had, I just find it astonishing how people can still vote them over anything else.

I just, ugh, people. Thats all.

    • Crazy_J

You just hate us WWE/TNA fans don’t you? It’s ok.. we’re used to your hate :) We realize you’re angry, we’re here for you.. really.

      • Mikas

Why would i hate WWE/TNA fans? I watch both WWE and TNA every week myself…

      • Rhawk

Much like Mikas, I too watch WWE & TNA. But I’m not one of the norm who tends to seclude themselves solely to the two, particularly to WWE it seems from these awards. If I dont approve of the way people are being booked on either promotions, which most people dont it seems. I dont suffer through only those, I go out and find something watchable to my taste. And ironically enough, its usually this site that helps me find these things. Something most of the viewers on this site are totally taking for granted in my opinion.

    • EVEROCKS

I don’t understand how people like you can “hate” on people who like and prefer WWE/TNA. Some people here grew up with WWE. Including myself. WWE is HUGE. So is TNA to a much lesser extent. I love WWE. If that makes me a mark then so be it. You know why people still somewhat care for the divas division? Look at the past there was Lita, Trish, Jazz, Molly, Ivory and many others. We have hope in the divas division. The division has potential.

      • Getdownwithachola

Even though I don’t know much about Lita, Trish and Jazz, etc I took my time to looked up their matches on You Tube and imo ring skills wise I don’t see them on the same league as top indie stars from the SHIMMER/Joshi Orginzations.

        • k2evecrew

Sorry but I’d rather catch raw , smack down, and impact on cable then go order ipv and buy DVDs

        • EVEROCKS

          @RHAWK

Boo Hoo!!!! Cry me a river. Is it a crime that someone likes one thing more than the other? Oh, you want WWE’s Divas division to be big again? Well sure as hell not going to happen when people like you talk down on it…

        • Rhawk

          @EVEROCKS

I know my bitching isn’t helping the cause, but its not like my opinion will make a difference, neither will your, or anyone elses. So for you to say me talking down on them will make a difference is a pretty daft thing to say since Im sure the WWE doesnt care what we think, but only cares about the fact that, well, they don’t. And also its not that ‘someone’ like ‘one thing more than the other’, its more like ‘everyone only likes one thing, and arent willing to give anything else a chance’.

But yeah I know, Im angry and I shouldnt be near a keyboard when I am. I just gotta think that these are ‘Fan Awards’ which hardly have any real value in the wrestling world and dont have true value to begin with. The Writers Choice is more important and it will always stay that way.

        • rasharexx

I’m sorry, but Jazz is far more skilled than Lita and Trish

        • NY Pollard

Jazz was a superior wrestler, there’s no denying that but… Alright, I’ll say it, she wasn’t very charismatic or that good on the mic. Lita wasn’t great either, but she improved greatly as a heel. Both Lita and Trish were more magnetic and it was perhaps for the obvious reasons. They were far more attractive and had cool movesets. You can put them down till you turn blue in the face, but I have yet to see any indie girl who has the same prescence as Lita or Trish. Its been said before, but the pro wrestling business isn’t about wrestling skills alone sweeties. Its also about charisma and character. I mean, take a look at Lance Storm and Jackie. Both great workers, but the fans refused to stay behind them for long, because they were boring more often than not. I don’t mean because they lacked a proper storyline, I mean they didn’t have star quality that can’t be taught. And before I’m attacked, this is coming from a huge Jackie fan, but. I gotta be honest.

  • Mikas

The Bella Twins retired 8 months ago and still managed to win?

Meanwhile in Mexico Las Ladies de Polanco (Princesa Blanca & Princesa Sujei) perform in arenas on weekly basis…

But if we keep it closer to home Tara & Brooke had a much better year than the Bella Twins. Even Gail/Madison had a better year.

It would be nice if in next year’s voting the only eligible choices would be those that were active for most of the year (for all categories).

    • http://cmpunkscrazychick.tumblr.com xoxoRKOxoxo

That what I think, You have to wrestle for the full calendar year to be considered!!!

  • Acrant

What do you guys expect? This is going to happen unless there’s two separate candidate lists.

If you’re on TV multiple times a week the whole year…

  • http://worldelitewrestle.proboards.com FOREVER FLAWLESS!

LOL wait what? Naomi and Cameron? The Bellas? Lordy jesus it’s a fire. No I don’t keep up with the Indies, and because of this, I voted for the best out of the options I knew – which was TNT, and if I wouldn’t have voted TNT, I would have voted Madison & Gail. Either way, both teams are better than The Bellas & Naomi + Cameron.

  • Crazy_J

I don’t agree that the bella’s should have won this at all, but I really don’t know anyone else on the list, guess that makes me a bad mark or something, I guess I should go kill myself for being poor and only watching mainstream. Maybe I should just stop watching WWE or TNA so that way there are no women wrestlers in mainstream.. that would do WONDERS for women’s wrestling! NOT.

    • Crazy_J

The only other team I would consider a team on the list I know of is TNT. Naomi & Cameron haven’t even competed together so I don’t think it’s fair to call them a team. Madison & Gail were alright, but their team wasn’t memorable enough to me for them to even make the list.

    • Getdownwithachola

No don’t kill yourself sweetie just go on Youtube or Dailymotion there are tons of free indie matches. Even WSU on You Tube have been uploading few free matches why not stop by and give it a try?

    • Rhawk

After seeing how this year has been for WWE & TNA, its not like I’d make a difference whether people watched them or not. =-(

  • Acrant

For all the complaints, you’re lucky the Chickbusters didn’t have one last match together this year.

AJ would have won another one.

  • EVEROCKS

I don’t exactly agree with this. But i miss the Bellas.

  • Getdownwithachola

    Vomiting……

    • Getdownwithachola

No really come on where are LuKana and Mseerie??? Yet why Angel Orsini and Amber O’ Neal are included? They only tagged like twice.

      • Rhawk

Whats the use, looking at these results its not like they would have won anyway.

  • Jcott3

Alas, there weren’t that many big choices. People went with who they knew, and sadly, that was the Bella Twins and they were gone halfway through 2012.

  • aldo

The Bella Twins? wow that’s a surprise! and a nice one! The divas are taking over! :D Some people have faith in the Divas division!
It’s also funny how also some people react…It’s a FAN award remember that. The fans are going to vote for their favorite. I voted for Gail Kim and Madison by the way.

  • Rhawk

Still not pleased with these results since it shows how limited knowledge the Diva-Dirt community knows about much beyond WWE & TNA, but I shouldnt judge that. If they wanna stay in their own little world then why am I to talk down on them? I’ll stick to what I believe is ‘better womens wrestling’, which they can stick to what they believe is ‘better womens wrestling’.

Rants done, hopefully theres a small shimmer of hope that people will at least consider looking out into the bigger, wider world of womens wrestling sometime next year though. Heh, shimmer…

    • Rhawk

And by next year, I meant 2013, this year. Derp.

      • pumped up kicks

God when I see stuff like this…. all I have to do is shake my head!! They were in the wwe for 4 months last year!! Come on people I try to stay as nice as possible but this poll really disgust me. Made in SIn or Midwest Militia should’ve won. I’m so agree with you!

    • StratusXtreme

@RHAWK .. Okay chill! We understand that your annoyed, but not everyone is going to follow the independent matches. I love JoJo.. I dont have to constantly get my point across that she is a better singer than Rhianna or is more talented than her. If people buy Rihanna’s music over JoJo’s then so be it! it’s personal preference.

Also, agree that the Bella’s shouldnt of won. I voted Made In Sin. (I follow WWE massively and oh look I voted for a non WWE team.. Wow!)

  • Gail-Trish-Maryse

I didn’t know anyone actually liked the Bellas. Did they ever even do anything but get 2 undeserved title reigns because Daddy Vince liked them?

  • sugarrush28

I voted for the Bellas and i’m not afraid to admit it. I pretty much know all the womens work except for The Midwest girls and Veda Scott. I think some of the women in these groups are overrated or for some reason I just can’t get into them

  • sugarrush28

Also why in the blue hell are Naomi and Cameron on this list?

  • bxradimus

I think it’s funny how the people who only watch their wrestling on mainstream TV get so upset at how badly the Diva’s and Knockout’s are used, yet they find every excuse in the world to NOT watch Independent wrestling where the women are actually given a chance. Then they mock those of us who actually SUPPORT the good wrestling from the Independents, since they are actually the ones who need the support.

These awards are sad and this site has gone downhill, in my opinion. With the lack of the Women of Wrestling Podcast, the Untitled Allison Danger Show, and hardly showcasing any independent wrestling, I think I’m going to take this site off my bookmarks and forget it exists.

    • divaindemise

I remember downloading the Untitled Allison Danger Show religiously and listening to it on my lunchbreak.

      Yeah, I admit it.

    • Getdownwithachola

I think that one day around 2009 one of the admins was posting articals teaching the readers about indy stars when some reader I believe it’s name is Art told him to stop it and we don’t care about those nobodies, this site called diva dirt it shouldn’t be about these nobodies it should diva related because they are so beautiful blah blah blah.

I feel like ever since that day DD moved closely to mainstream and farther from indies. *crys*

      • divaindemise

I vividly remember an ignorant user blasting the Diva Dirt writers for profiling Manami Toyota during the time she was wrestling for Chikara and picking up that Legacy award. I nearly sprouted horns.

        • pumped up kicks

All of you are so right!! If I wasen’t married I marry all of you and make our own independent super sister wives show lol

    • Rhawk

The Untitled Alison Danger Show! God that takes me back. It would be nice to see Diva-Dirt go back to the way it was before. Fingers crossed 2013 is that year, but… well I wont judge ye, I’ll see what happens this year first.

  • DIVASKO

    -.-
