Well deserved!!

I agree Eve or Vickie should win this.
Although I think Gail Kim should have placed third.

Eve was good, but she was not nearly as matter as good as Gail Kim or Jessica were. I call this rigged.

Rigged by those who don’t keep up with the indies, lol.
Diva Dirt covers all the female indy events and the fans still vote for the Divas.

Not that Im complaining or anything anymore, but I too sense some shenanigans taking place here. Just a weird feeling I get…

Not really in agreement with this choice BUT my favorite part of her heel turn was when she kissed John Cena, and Zack Ryder was in his wheelchair looking like he just been to hell and back! I don’t think I laughed so hard since lol

LMAO, i loved this too!

No, just no. The fact that these three got more than 60% of the vote tells me that Diva Dirt isn’t doing a good enough job showing the readers what is happening outside of WWE and TNA.
Vickie is a decent choice for the top 3, but with the year that women like Havok, Knight, Perez, & Martinez had, they should be in the….maybe no all of them, but at least one.
I am a much bigger fan of independent wrestling than the mainstream stuff right now. Call me an elitist, a snob, or a mark….I don’t care. A a fan of women’s wrestling, I think it is my responsibility to be familiar with more than just the big 2. There are more than enough matches on YouTube and Daily motion that can be watched for free.

Totally agree, but its pointless really. I’ve talked till im blue in the face about indie wrestling but all of us defending it get called snobs and all sorts of stupid stuff. As I stated before, people can watch the mainstream stuff all they want ( I myself watch everything) but they shouldn’t complain if they don’t even try to seek out anything different.

As much as i and many others would like to be more familiar with the Indies, its just a pain in the ass to keep up with them all. I did watch a few ippv’s last year as part of my new years resolution, but for me, although the matches get far more time and are easily more technical than most of the bouts in the wwe, i dont prefer them.
I like that the mainstream talent are all-round entertainers rather than simply wrestling. They have matches and manage other superstars, yes, but they have relationship angles, weddings, pregnancies etc. And they also do press conferences, promotional interviews and tv programs. They’re easier to follow and get to know through what they do, you feel like you know them more and understand them more as a person.
Its a big production show with lots going on, there’s more to look out for than one main bout which is really slow paced and white frankly, quite boring.

You wouldn’t get that “called snobs, etc.” reaction if most of the people defending the indies didn’t go around calling us stupid or misguided just for watching what is more accessible to us. I’m not saying you’re necessarily the one who has done that, but belittling people who don’t have the same view or opinions isn’t the way to go about it.
I understand it could be frustrating, but then again.. life is frustrating at times.

Saraya Knight hands down. she’s a person who could stand next to Hitler and people would say “who’s the bitch?” :)

Nah they would be more like, ‘Who’s the dude with the moustache? HAIL SARAYA!’
at 3:21 pm
and let the bitchfest continue. personally I’m glad Eve won.
at 4:15 pm
Saraya Knight would kill these women by just looking
at 4:40 pm
Its a crime that Saraya Knight isn’t in the top three, but nonetheless Eve did has a heck of a year as a heel, so this award makes sense. Still think she should have at least been third instead of Maxine. She was great and all, but Maxine left halfway through the year while Saraya’s been an utter bitch all year round. Though I wouldnt dare say that to her otherwise Id be dead in a gutted somewhere now. =-P

Oh man. Vickie Guerrero first Runner Up. Sorry but she becomes boring 2012.
at 4:51 pm
All women shortlisted are notable enough; Eve had the potential to be the greatest, but nonetheless she was the most exposed. Her win is logical.
Saraya Knight and Portia Porez are, equally, the best of the best when it comes to heels in wrestling right now. If I could urge anyone to check out independent wrestling, these two would be prime reasons for doing so. They might lack the glamour and decadent platform, but they will not fail to entertain you.
Still, congratulations to Eve. This was indeed one of the superior years of her career.
at 5:01 pm
Well deserved for Eve, she’s been great!
at 5:14 pm
GUYS, go on Youtube and search “the end of the Knight dynasty Shimmer” and you’ll have an example of why Saraya should’ve been in the top three.

The Knight Dynasty took SHIMMER up a few notches in terms of character development. I think it was a great turning point for the promotion.
at 5:49 pm
Um a lot of wrestling fans don’t feel like paying EVERY time to see these Indy women wrestle so ROH TNA and the WWE are it. Not the fault of the diva dirt
ZPZA Reply:
January 3rd, 2013 at 6:10 pm
You don’t have to pay. There’s bits and pieces of matches and even full matches and segments on Youtube and Dailymotion.
Crazy_J Reply:

Yeah, but that does NOTHING for those promotions. It doesn’t give them buys or ratings at all. It doesn’t help them. Yeah we might watch a match and end up liking someone, I’ve done that before.. but it still didn’t get me to buy the ippv’s or any merchandise. Watching youtube videos doesn’t gain them any profit which is what they need to grow.

I don’t understand why people voted Eve when she is a copy of Madison Rayne.
Heel of the year- Gail Kim
Nostalgia Reply:

I wouldn’t say copy. She stole bits and pieces from Madison & Melina & Trish
at 8:23 pm
I think Saraya or Gail should have won. But at least Eve is being recognized for something I guess.
at 9:05 pm
I would’ve went with Eve or Gail, so I’m happy one of them won it :)
at 9:46 pm
Is it bad that I voted for Maxine?
at 9:59 pm
Jessicka and Saraya are the winners for me
at 10:15 pm
So happy she won! :D
at 10:32 pm
Eve was great the first hald of the year but didnt become intrestinging untill lately….. she was a great heeel earlier but four months dont make up a whole year more women deserved it
at 10:59 pm
Yay! I’m glad Eve won this one.
at 11:08 pm
I’m not mad that Eve won, but the fact that Saraya Knight isn’t in at least the top 3 tells me that this is completely biased. Also before people tell me I’m an Indy mark, I’ll let them know the only indy promotion I watch is SHINE and I just ordered my first SHIMMER DVD last week and I even have to admit that Saraya deserved this award
