You can’t really complain about this.

Lol. Well…Trish didn’t win. I wonder who’ll actually get this joke and not fire off in the comments of how Trish wasn’t even on TV this year.
I’ll vote for Eve because she’s made me a believer in terms of character, personality, etc. Some divas, I can’t see as a heel. Kelly Kelly and Eve were two of them. But Eve has owned the role. And she transitioned her style of wrestling into a heel beautifully as well.
Granted, I don’t like the “beauty pagent/chickenshit” heel she’s turned too. It almost mimics Michelle McCool’s “Mean Girls” schtik, when she went from female Randy Orton to a conceited bitch.
I want Eve to be stuck-up and vicious like she use to be.

I think this Eve is good, I wouldn’t buy Eve as a vicious diva, she just doesn’t have the look.

Well deserved :)
Good to see Ex WSU homegrown talent getting recognized.

Its obvious enough to anyone that AJ was the most forced upon among any of the divas in the WWE, being in main event fueds and hanging with the main event guys. I mean sure Eve’s done a bit in her heel turn, but she didn’t have as much focus as AJ had, so this award choice makes sense.

Ah, wanted Eve to win but oh well.
at
I know aj deserved it but I wish she didnt win everything it kinda took the fun out of some of the awards basically anything she was nominated in she won
at
Very well deserved.. less than 15 minutes in a whole year! The most forced gimmick in wrestling history! Laughable awful “acting”! Doing a bunch of nothing for the first half of the year. Screams diva of the year. I guess to win this award, a diva only has to skip and kiss dudes.

She did more than your fav did.

This is an outrage. AJ Lee shouldn’t have won this.(random indy name) should have won this award. Im so sick of the Divas winning all the awards.

Well technically AJ did start out in the independents, so I guess you got your wish after all. ;-)
And yes I know this was a joke, so with that said, was there any need to focus more on the arguments made here for mainstream VS independents?

I agree. It was all 3 diva’s best years

No brainer. AJ shot to the top of the WWE roster this year and she did fantastic. I can’t wait to see what she’ll do in 2013.
2012 was the year of AJ Lee!

I voted for Eve (i’ll admit i was slightly biased) but AJ definately deserved this.

AJ is a main eventer and not your typical WWE Diva. She fits in the same catergory as John Cena, CM Punk, Randy Orton, etc.
She deserved the award and so did Eve but Eve was only important for the Divas division and only was apart of the main events for the beginning of 2012 while AJ had the main spotlight since the end of 2011 all the way to now.

I think you mixed up Eve and AJ. AJ didn’t get pushed until wm time. Eve was the one that was used consistently since 2011.
at
I wish they would use AJ’s popularity to boost the Divas division more (I mean, they’re used her a little, but she still spends the majority of the time with the main eventers). So for me, I would say that Eve has done the most to help the Divas division so she should get the award. Of course AJ is simply the most pushed Diva at the moment.
On the bright side, it’s nice to see how far two of the NXT Divas have come since the start of the year (AJ and Kaitlyn). I don’t think people really expected WWE to give AJ a fair go, although now quite a lot of people think she’s overpushed and hardly ever wrestles (but as far as Divas are concerned, overpushed is a lot better than underpushed). And Kaitlyn has far exceeded a lot of people expectations of her (which were ridiculously low by some people) and become a credible wrestler.
Eve while not always booked consistently has really had a great year (as Diva years go) since turning heel, and also defied most people’s expectations of her. So things are looking up in the Diva’s division at the moment a lot more than they have since perhaps late 2010.

I am not a hater but i am getting a little bit sick of Aj.I voted for Eve because she had a huge character development AND divas title. She had an actual feud not jumping to superstar to superstar and skipping around the ring like a 7 year old.Diva of the year should have belonged to Eve.Best breakthrough to Aj…

I seemed to have missed all the voting polls…but I digress.
Well it makes sense for AJ to win since she was the most visible and active character in terms of storylines and development. Eve was the only other Diva that got significant time and that still falls short of everything AJ was involved in. We’ve said it before, Eve was breakingthrough as a major heel Diva early on, but then WWE dropped the ball there. Other Divas that sort of re emerged were Layla, Kaitlyn, Tamina and maybe Beth…but all fall short.
