saritaTNA’s official website has removed Sarita‘s profile and picture, indicating she is done with the company.

Sarita, who competes as Dark Angel Sarah Stock in Mexico, joined the company in early 2009 and was pegged to be the promotion’s replacement for Gail Kim in the top babyface role, however, the company then signed Tara, fresh from a WWE run, and Sarita’s debut was pushed back to July of that year.

Along with Taylor Wilde, Sarita was one half of the first ever Knockouts Tag Team Champions. She held the title again with her on-screen Rosita, who last year insisted she was still with TNA.

Neither Sarita or Rosita have been used by TNA since April 2012.

Thoughts:
Sarah is a fantastic, fantastic wrestler and arguably one of the most talented women TNA has ever hired. It’s such a shame that her TNA run never quite reached the heights it could have.

Not surprising at all. She hasn’t been around since April and her appearances before that even were rare at best. I expect to see Rosita officially gone next.

    Typical TNA. Also see:

    Hamada
    Cheerleader Melissa
    Daffney
    Nikki Roxx
    etc

If you took the casts off from TNA, you could build one of the best women’s rosters ever. No clue why TNA doesn’t see obvious talent when its in front of them.

    pumped up kicks Reply:

They are too busy trying to be wwe circa 2005 or 2006. It sucks bcause Hamada is too talented for words! So is everyone else you listed.

    shameronstar Reply:

I loved Roxxi. She was like tna’s Tori or Luna Vachon a talented performer who never got a title reign! I wonder why tna screwed her over so badly?

    JamieKym Reply:

Definitely TNA’s Tori. I think TNA’s Luna Vachon was Daffney.

EXACTLY NOW THE “wrestling gurus” are gonna settle for Tessmacher vs Velvet =( I love me some Mickie but I hate when TNA pushes their talent away look at Alex shelley; jay Lethal Machismo, Amazing Red and Petey Wiliams who were 10 better than jeff people tune in for the ex-wwe stars sad but true it’s not only happening in the womens division as well as the men TNA is becoming a wwe circa 2005 it’s true =(

    Piggie James Reply:

I think it’s horrible what happened to Sarita, but I don’t think her case is like Hamada or Daffney’s.

Hamada who imo is the best female wrestler ever in TNA was hard to build feuds for with her lack of english. With that said, I think that as long as the writers were creative enough, they could have made up for that easily. I think the other issue was flying her in from Japan, which meant that she wasn’t as accessible as some of the other Knockouts who live closer to the Impact Zone.

Daffney I think the writers liked to use, but obviously once the legal issues began it finished her career in the company. If not for those horrific incidents, I think she would have been pushed a lot more (although she might not have done so well in today’s ‘dumbed down’ Knockouts division).

I agree that Roxxi and especially Alissa Flash were wasted. I think ‘Typical TNA’ though is an off base comment. The extreme misuse (or no use) of Sarita and Rosita really began once Vince Russo left TNA, and Bruce Prichard and Dave Lagana began heading creative (as well as talent relations in Prichard’s case). The four people you’ve listed were under Russo in creative and Terry Taylor in talent relations.

Now the only real constant between all cases would have to be Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff who are always sticking their hands in creative and in my opinion have caused far more harm than good for the Knockouts. So you should probably say ‘typical Hogan/Bischoff regime’.

I so agree with you….You nailed it in the head. Also the the bad economy comes to play.

  3. Shame to see her go. I Loved her performances.

Many people are going to be pissed about this. I think the constant changing in supervision of the knockouts division is what lead to departures of people like Sarita, Hamada, Taylor Wilde, Alissa Flash, Daffney, and etc. Plus, I fell tna are just playing it safe with established names because a company is financially limited as tna can’t really take too many risks with unproven draws!

I really hope wwe snatch her up. But she good talented wrestlers they wont go for rosita or madison who can’t wrestle to save there there life.

    shameronstar Reply:

I think I heard somewhere in an interview that Sarita would like to work with wwe, but considering her age and experience level they’d probably just make her a trainer:P

    Piggie James Reply:

Yes.. unfortunately Sarita is probably too old for nowadays’ WWE, so unless you have some sort of family connection (Tamina Snuka), it would be very uncharacteristic for WWE to sign her. But at the end of the day, I don’t think anyone would trust WWE to use her well, but it still would have been nice for her to get a shot there.

Also she would not be able to work on the indies/Japan/Mexico if she signed a WWE contract, so she might actually make less money working for WWE than she does now.

Another thing is that AAA would probably want to steal her from CMLL, and with reports that her relationship with CMLL has had issues as of late, it’s quite possible she could go to AAA (which could still pave the way for Gail Kim vs Dark Angel/Sarita given TNA’s working arrangement with AAA).

Wrestling Observer reporting her contract wasn’t renewed.

she not worried about tna sarita making lots of money working for CMLL also sarita one the top draws for the company

    velvelove Reply:

i dont think anyone goes to tna to make money

    Nostalgia Reply:

    Exactly lol

    Piggie James Reply:

‘Reportedly’: Hogan, Sting, Flair, Angle, Hardy among others have all be on big money contracts.

On the Knockouts side Christy Hemme and Mickie James get paid a lot (possible more than they earned in WWE), and probably Tara, Gail and Velvet’s new contracts make them a lot too.

So clearly some people go to TNA to make money, while the ones who don’t.. well I suppose they’re just there to get their name out.

It’s funny to think that what feels like a fantasy roster in this age was an actual reality for the Knockouts at one point. Awesome Kong, Hamada, Sarita, Tara, Angelina Love, Cheerleader Melissa, Taylor Wilde, ODB and Roxxi… such a shame to see where things have spiralled.

Even though the Knockouts division has started to improve the wrestling output, it’s still at the expense of working within a condensed roster of talent. Shame to see Sarita go, as I don’t think the full breadth of her talent was truly showcased while she was in the company. I hope Rosita isn’t another one on the way out, as I feel she could follow in the footsteps of Brooke Tessmacher as the division’s next breakout star.

    NY Pollard Reply:

You’re always so on point and make perfect sense, I wonder if you had a previous nick on here. Totally agree with you. It was hard to believe TNA had such a great women’s roster at some point.

As messed up as it sounds I was just awaiting to hear of this foreshadowing departure. She truly was amazing and I remember she had me hooked with her debut match against Alysa Flash/Cheerleader Melissa. Would love to see her in WWE if there was any conceivable route aside that of being a trainer. If not I would love to see her in ROH with it potential womens division or to make a debut in Shine.

I’m not surprised really but I hope to see her in shimmer again since she’s in mexico doing CMLL.

    Makes me wonder about Rosita?

    TehKardashianKing Reply:

I believe Rosita’s still with TNA.

Not shocked at all- if you’re not on TV for 9 months and not injured, the writing would seem to be on the wall….She’s doing pretty well in Mexico, so I don’t think she minds a lot (though she apparently had an issue a couple of months ago with her promoters)…

  12. iLUVValets

TNA pretty unwatchable at this point, I know I said that about the Divas, but at least they are back on the come up. There is no reason this woman should have been released.

Such a damn shame , I wish she would’ve had a run with the championship she really deserved it I just hope she makes it to wwe one day

  15. MickieJamesluvslave

Not a shock but disappointed. TNA wasted her. Not sure why they never gave her the belt and pushed her the bway she deserved.

  16. Flitzy

    :(

I guess TNA had to make room for more endless snoozers between Tara and Brooke.

  17. Screw this they screw all the talented ones just like Kharma,Daffney, roxxi,Flash,Wilde,Hamada, Angelina, Winter now Sarita!
ARE YOU KDDING me? now we have to settle for Brooke shoved down our throats (because I assure you it’s gonna happen) then Taryn will win the belt WTF! man you screwed Sarita one of the best talented wrestlers just like Natalya seems promoters these days all they want is T&A ps i remember when they signed her sarita was suppose to be the top face during 2009 oh well but why Tara love her and stuff; not her fault she is being pushe dbecause she is an ex-wwe diva are you kidding me? sarita was young she could have gone one on one with gail TNA SCREW YOU!

    GrrMonster Reply:

Yeah, i remember that, and they postpone her debut. That’s not fair!

    Piggie James Reply:

I suppose the irony is that both Sarita and Natalya actually have more T&A than quite a few of the Divas/Knockouts.

    Jillfan1 Reply:

    @Piggy James lol I guess but I’m talking the tessmacher’s the K2′S

  18. aldo

Such a shame, she deserved a title shot, at least one…

  19. Christo82

Damn. I am sad about this. I really wanted her to have a title run and to wrestle Gail Kim. Makes no sense. Another dream match never to happen. Adding it to my Gail Kim vs Nattie, Gail Kim vs Naomi,Gail vs Sarita

Hopefully the WWE is smart and signs her up. The really need a good veteran in ring performer to help out the newer girls. Put her with Del Rio and call it a day. Easy booking.

    JamieKym Reply:

    Yes. That’s what I said.

How does Velvet Sky get title runs, merchandise and lots of airtime?

Yet Sarita, Daffney, Taylor, Roxxi etc get released?

Not too hopeful for the future of either of the big two companies.

    divaindemise Reply:

Velvet Sky has that accursed attribute called marketability.

Seriously though, while I like Velvet Sky and all, I do find it a somewhat sore point that her comparatively inferior wrestling stands a good chance to be the crux of this year.

Still, they had mishandled Sarita long before the Brookes and Velvets were being primed for stardom, so it’s probably unfair to begin the basheration.

    theprincedann Reply:

Anybody can be marketable with the right gimmick. But with Velvet, its a case of sex sells. Her wrestling ability is poor, so have her act overtly sexual, thrust the ring ropes etc.

The fans are craving some decent female WRESTLERS. Looks aren’t important. I don’t watch the knockouts matches thinking- they’re sexy, this is great. Or they’re not hot enough, I’m turning over. I watch it to see women wrestle. For different wrestling styles to connect. For the drama between the characters. What they look like is not important at all. Velvet is pushed, because she is good at looking and acting like a cheap porn star. Even her name sounds like a cheesy porn pseudonym.

From 2009, until now, things have changed.

    Katie Reply:

Agreed with Dann. Sex sells and her wrestling is poor. Sucks for Sarita because she could of been something big if TNA cared to really push her.

  21. Lily

OH YEAH! Her contract expired in 2013!

I remember when it was reported that she signed another 2 year deal with TNA in early 2011.

  22. JD Sensations

She wasn’t a former Diva, that’s why she was released

Rosita has now officially been confirmed as the third TNA release today along with Sarita and D’angelo Dinero

    divaindemise Reply:

    Seriously? Massively disappointing.

Rosita had the look and raw potential to get over, bolstered by that stirring lifestory. Oh well.
