Earlier today, TNA announced that they were cutting down on their number of Pay-Per-View events for 2013, dropping from twelve monthly events to just four.
Now, PWInsider has revealed that in order to compensate for this loss, TNA will be taping PPV shows to air on the first Friday of the months without a PPV. Among these eight shows is one called, “TNA Knockouts Knockdown”. PWInsider describes it as follows:
TNA Knockouts Knockdown – One night Knockout tournament with the first round being all stipulation matches and the final four in a “test of their stamina” to see who the final victor is.
What do you think? Is it high time the Knockouts got their own annual event, or would you rather have the twelve regular PPVs?

An all Knockout PPV? Well, that pretty much settles it. They’re going to HAVE to bring in new talent now. They have no choice anymore.

@GIANTJXXX you hit the nail in the head. Jazz would be an awesome knockout, I remember back in 07-08 when there were rumors floating around that she was signed by TNA, I was so happy for her because I’ve been a fan of her work since her first run in WWE/F.

Hey, TNA, Courtney Rush and Lufisto already tried out for Gutcheck, and Alpha female is trying out in a couple weeks. Just something to keep in mind… if you need to fill some spots on this show you could do a lot worse.

No they don’t. They will just bring in a couple women wrestlers for the Knockouts PPV and that’s it. Maybe even some returning Knockouts. That’s what they are doing for the X Division PPV. Bringing in some old X Division wrestlers and some outside talent for that PPV.

They have to bring in more girls! I hope at the PPV they have a match full of new debuting KOs, sort of like what they did in 2007.
Melina, Jillian, Alpha Female, Christina Crawford and Ivelisse should be signed along with some other girls.

Yes we lost Sarita & Rosita but we dont need them, we only need more girls if they’re actually going to do something with the Tag Titles, if not, let Mickie, Tara, ODB, Gail, Madison, Tessmacher, Velvet & that gutcheck winner (whose name i cannot remember) handle the rest of the show. They have plenty of talent for one main show a week.
+ we also get Christy, Brooke Hogan, SoCal Val & Taryn in other roles. Plenty of females for one show.

Awesome if they do but I highly doubt it. I thought PPV’s were mainly for feuds,storylines,title matches, etc. If they have a PPV for just Knockouts they would have to have at least 2-3 or more Knockout feuds going & have them each appear on every show. We barely have 1 now!

These are a different kind of PPVs. These One Night Only PPVs seem like tournament PPVs. They are also doing a X Division tournament and a wild card tag-team tournament PPV.

They won’t bring anyone back, does no one remember New Year’s Knockout Eve and everyone expected a boom in the division? They’ll bring in independent workers to job out to the contracted girls and possibly sign the ones they’re keen in. You don’t have to belong to a company to wrestle a match…

It was coming but NYKE was on December 31, 2009. January 4, 2010 was the beginning of the end for the real, cutting edge version of the KO division.
But also yes, they’re unlikely to sign a bunch of people from this. It’s just a “One Night Only” PPV taped months in advance afterall.

I wonder what former divas and independent names could possibly be signed or at least make a one off appearance because there’s also quite a few people from Shine/Shimmer that I hear about who could really fit in with the knockouts division and really add some diversity to it, and actually get their name out there?

I have a feeling they’ll bring in former Knockouts to flesh out the roster for this and then that’ll be it. I’d love it though if they would use it as a way to debut new girls and have a more diverse and deep roster like before. Maybe even have enough girls to halfway justify those tag belts.

The champion wouldn’t wrestle in a tournament for their own belt, maybe in the final against the winners but the summary makes it sound like it’s about finding a contender.

No one said the belt would even be involved. It says all of the KO first match would have a stipulation. Then it says the top four will go head to head to test their stamina, which means fatal four way. The belt may or may not be up at the end but i figure if it did it would say so directly.

Lol shut up. It’s a stupid idea anyways. Watch them bring in new talent and then after this ppv is over you’ll see most of them not being used and maybe half jobbing to Gail, Mickie, Tara. This is stupid idea that will only hurt the Knockouts Division even more.

I have no idea how getting a PPV hurts the Knockouts Division. It’s a One Night Only PPV. The people they bring for the PPV you will probably never see again. So no one will be “jobbing”.

Surprise appearance by a returning Sarita?
Bring Stevie Richards in dressed in Drag and feud with Jesse over Tara (not on this PPV, but just the story). Tara Vs. Stevina to only uncover that he’s Stevie Richards when he makes out with her and takes his wig off.
Tara has a title match and is still distracted causing her to lose it to Velvet whom in turns, loses it to Mickie James the next day after a “friendly” match turns Mickie heel.
Tara turns psycho and stays heel while trying to decide if she wants Stevie.
Okay… too much caffeine, but I would love for something like this to play out!
Can we have Cheerleader Melissa and Awesome Kong back if possible!!!

This could be the biggest thing to hit the Knockouts Division since the Bound for Glory Gauntlet match in 2007. Maybe this is TNA’s way of re-vamping the division. They definitely need something with the major blows the division has taken with the likes of Kong, Hamada, Daffney, Alissa Flash, Roxxi, Angelina, Winter, Taylor Wilde, Rosita and Sarita. Fingers crossed for a revival of the Knockouts Division!

If they indeed bring in new girls, it will probably be some of the tryouts and the blossom twins.

However, I think we will probably only get Taeler and The Blossom Twins appear to get eliminated pretty fast as the “rookies” before the main roster girls go at it.
