evequitsWWE.com has confirmed the suspicions that have been swirling for most of the day: Eve Torres has quit the company.

Moments after losing her Divas Championship to Kaitlyn on the 20th anniversary celebration of Monday Night Raw, Torres revealed on the company’s mobile application that she was furious with the added stipulation to her match last minute that she would lose the title if counted out or disqualified.

The companies website states, “Eve announced her unceremonious departure on the WWE App’s WWE Active second screen experience. She called for SmackDown General Manager Booker T’s job and blasted the blue brand’s boss for the last-minute stipulation to her title bout, which ruled she could lose the championship via disqualification or count-out.”

Moments later, with her demands unmet, she stormed off in a rage and vowed that she was officially done with the WWE.

Eve joined the company in 2007 after winning their final of the annual held Diva Search competitions. Her departure leaves Rosa Mendes and Layla as the only women still employed to come from the Diva Search, with the latter now being the only winner remaining.

She’s amazing, evidently one of the greatest Divas in the WWE. She has her whole life ahead of her, and honestly, I can see why she quit WWE.

I thought Eve was great. But honestly, how many of these girls actually have a notable career after they quit wrestling?

  2. This upsets me but I get why she did it. I had only just picked her as my new favourite after Kelly left and now I have to choose another. Thank you for everything you’ve done Eve :)

If they don’t use Natalya now, they probably never will.

I think natties time has passed in which wwe will use her right…maybe if she lasts this year & more divas leave….

Very sad about this because Eve’s my favorite diva, but I’m glad that it seems she’s leaving by her own choice, and I wish her the best of luck in all she does in the future.

  5. Blac Chyna

Gosh eve lol i dont want her to be on bad terms with wwe but oh well she will missed #BeliEVEr

  6. Lily

That’s crazy. At least she left with a good last push.

Beth, Kelly and Eve are now gone. Three top Divas in less than a few months.

WWE need Naomi, Emma and Paige.

They couldn’t even have her quit onscreen, just in a wwe.com segment?

They want more people to download their app, so they are putting exclusive things on there.

I found a new respect for Eve. I remember watching her and Natalya go one on one live and she hit her 1st moonsault. The man next to me was shocked and impressed and he was just there with his kids. Highly underrated woman because of the Diva Search competition but no one can doubt how hard she has fought from WM to main eventing Raw to physical matches. She is a strong worker and a hard working female. Much respect, much love and God bless her.

    Very very horrible news
I love Eve sooo much I will miss her always enjoy her PPV matches she’s an Amazing Wrestler

one of my all time fav Divas

wish they made a promo or something for this match

I enjoyed her evolution. I liked her from the get go. Last year was her best year she leaves on top pretty much. Farewell Eve, will miss you..and at the same time felt like I hardly knew ya..

  11. stephens61086

This makes me sad, she has been so much more entertaining to watch in the ring and outside the ring than the likes of Kelly. I don’t know what wwe are doing but their top divas shouldn’t be dropping out like flies.

Layla needs to turn heel now.

Sad to see my favorite current diva go, but at least she left at the top of her game – which is bitter sweet because I feel like there was so much more she could do. Between her being Booker’a assistant and a proven worthy contender to the title, she could’ve done much more for the division on top of what she’s already done. Thanks Eve, you were great!

  13. Lanoom

One less good main show woman.

One less relevant female character in WWE ’13.

    shameronstar Reply:

The women’s roster for wwe 14 is going to look so different than it has in the last few years!

    Andre Reply:

That’s if WWE 14 even gets made, since THQ is filing for bankruptcy and selling off most of their IP’s

    hado Reply:

Wow. Talking about WWE ’13, Alicia Fox is actually the only diva on disk, that is still within the company.

    Raekon Reply:

Well since she left after WWE 14 was already in production I think we will have her in WWE 14 unlike the Bellas, Kelly, Beth and Kharma that will probably WWE 13 was their last game.

They might to go the cheap way and include them as “Legends” if they have a contract for that though instead of adding new divas.

With them gone though I hope we will finally get Kaitlyn, Tamina Aksana and Rosa in WWE 14 instead.

  14. shameronstar

Kaitlyn is at a severe disadvantage. Trish had Jazz, Molly, Victoria and Lita to get her through her first time runs and Candice had Beth and Melina to give her a good title run. Kaitlyn has NO ONE to guide her. She’s stranded!

    Andre Reply:

that might not be such a bad thing Shameronstar, having no one else to feed off of could actually push her to excel even more.

    Litawasrobbed Reply:

    Very good point

    Lily Reply:

    So true.

AJ, Naomi and Natalya could possibly help Kaitlyn have a good title run though.

    SweeneyTodd Reply:

Natalya & Naomi are faces, like Kaitlyn…

    Lily Reply:

Naomi and Kaitlyn could have a face vs. face feud. They showed good potential for that in the TLC Divas battle royal or even a triple threat feud between Kaitlyn, AJ and Naomi.

Natalya …that’s true unless they decide to turn her heel.

    art Reply:

Tamina or aj have to feud with kaitlyn….

It is crazy how many women Rosa has outlasted when it comes to cuts and women quitting.

Eve was never f avorite of mine but I enjoyed her (especially in the last year). I am ok with her leaving, because I know that she is going to be happy with her upcoming wedding and other events. Would be nice to see her down the road sometime.

  16. SweeneyTodd

It sucks she lost and than gone and over. No word about her anymore. I am not a fan of her but deserves better.

Although I was a little disappointed with Eve’s decision to leave, I can understand why she would want to (her engagement, wanting to start a family, and live her life). I hope that WWE decides to give pushes to people like Natalya, Alicia Fox, and Naomi. There are less divas now which means that there is no reason why every current diva cant get an opportunity to shine. The divas roster is getting thinner and, I bet there will be more divas that will leave this year, that is why they need to call up divas from NXT (Paige, Emma, Audrey Marie). But they need to do it in a way where they all get pushes and not clusterfuck them all at once. WWE already has there top female star with is AJ, but they need to build new stars, in every division, which is something WWE lacks right now. Hopefully they give Kaitlyn a great run with the title, including great story lines and matches. I’m totally babbling, but this stuff really needs to happen and soon!!!

    CRosario2010 Reply:

And thanks Eve. Your were and are my favorite diva, since Trish Stratus. I hope to see you on my TV screen. #ThankYouEve!

TO the big Eve fanatics..I am sincerely sorry that your favorite Diva is gone. She wasn’t my personal favorite, but I was just getting into her this past year and think she was a wonderful character. She worked hard and was a good heel and I’ll miss her too. I was devastated when Lita and Trish left WWE. Same with alot of the other attitude era divas.

People are sad about Eve, but I find some phoniness in it all. I remember when Beth Phoenix was around and folks would stay trashing Eve and Kelly Kelly, and that was just as short as 6 months ago. Now she’s the best wrestler in the company?! Eve has come a long way, but her character was starting to get stale and run it’s course. Especially since she was being overshadowed by a now newly heel AJ.

    NY Pollard Reply:

You best not be reffering to me. I know I wasn’t always the biggest Eve fan out there, I admit it. I thought she was boring and lacked character for some time – although she was always a decent wrestler. Forward some time later and she got an engaging heel character, it made me a fan again. No matter what, I respect Eve for all her hard work and wish her the very best.

    Socrate Reply:

Not you in particular cause you aren’t acting like you were a huge Eve fan all alone. But folks acting like this is the equivalent to John Cena leaving. Like I stated, I had a feeling something was up when they decided to turn AJ heel, and it’s clear now or at least it looks to me like AJ was going to be the new top heel of the division, especially since she already gets more heat than Eve does. But folks are acting like Eve is a deal breaker when the same people were lambasting Eve when Beth Phoenix left.

Folks crap on the Divas but then when the Divas actually leave then folks hype them up and all of a sudden want to give them their due. It’s phony.

    NY Pollard Reply:

I see what you mean and completely agree. I notice that hardcore fans of a series, comics, movies, etc…can be so ridiculously fickle. Take for example fans of The Walking Dead. The show is simply flawless, yet people bitch about the dumbest things. They praise it to the high heavens and the next minute come up with shyt like, “But the Governor was stabbed in the wrong eye..” I’m rolling my eyes telling them to STFU and write their own damn show if they don’t like it or not watch it. I agree. I was thrilled when K2 left WWE – another example and I don’t miss her at all. I wasn’t sad for more than a minute lol.

    Blac Chyna Reply:

I know right these people on here are hypocrites they use to talk crap about how boring and stale eve was in the ring but when she leaves thry want to praise her like she lita or something but i will miss eve she was my fav diva

    DJ8946 Reply:

Eve leaving hurts the division more to me than Beth leaving imo.

    Socrate Reply:

I actually agree that you can argue that Eve leaving hurts the division more than Beth. To be honest,Beth was a part of the old guard and it’s obvious it’s time for the Divas to move to a new era and it kinda had to start with Beth. Beth is good but she’s getting older and to be honest I think Beth did all she could do in the division. I can actually see Eve returning in the future.

    Blac Chyna Reply:

And Ms.Pollard can kiss my ass because she was one the many people calling her boring as a face but when shes a heel jobbing to divas you think all fun and games

    NY Pollard Reply:

Blac Chyna – There’s no need to get pushy, I’m owning up to it. I said how I felt about her and I stand by it. As a babyface Eve to me was boring and I realize it wasn’t Eve that was writing her own material. Had she been given more to work with at the time, she could have possibly been more memorable as the good girl. I liked her from the days she was teaming with Cryme Tyme on Smackdown by the way. Somewhere along the line I got bored with her. There wasn’t that spark I personally observe from the likes of say, Layla, Kharma, Alicia, Maryse, and Candice. Not saying they were all great wrestlers, but they seemed naturally more effervescent than Eve. Michelle McCool who was an exceptional wrestler, suffered in the same area imo.

Eve’s heel turn was good for her because it gave her more to work with. They greatly invested in her heel persona and she worked very hard to get over as the bad girl and it made her interesting again. I give her alot of credit as a fan because WWE sort of ignored her push after a few months, yet she kept on trotting with what she was given and made the best of it. Overall, I would rather have Eve in WWE than not. I will miss her.

Wow look at the male division so much history and the divas division is a disgrace

  23. litafan2000

Trish and Lita’s 6 years in the wwe seem to have went by slow but when divas like Eve, Michelle and Beth 5 or 6 years went by so quickly. Lol. Never was really a huge Eve fan but the division has suffered another huge loss unfortunelty.

  24. StratusXtreme

Eve.. Thank you for the memories! You are an all round amazing Diva and will be missed. Hope your future brings you all the happiness in the world <3

  25. I’m happy to say I’ve always been an Eve Torres fan, even when she was just starting out in matches and a face (since most seem to dislike her as a face?). I think WWE gave her a great character and she took it and ran with it. She’s one of the FEW Divas who could perform in the ring extraordinarily well. Sad to see such great like Eve & Beth leave the division when it was just starting to make a come back.

Thanks for everything, Eve! You’ll be missed.

    JDernTrishStratusFan Reply:

I feel like this is the PERFECT time for WWE to push Naomi, let her build a character, new outfit, new gimmick and let her shine like she’s meant to.

Also bring up Paige. She’s obviously ready to be on the Main Raw/Smackdown roster.

And this is also the time to bring Natalya AND Alicia Fox back in the picture, give them some mic time and get back involved in the main spot.

We all know AJ Lee is doing just fine and she’ll have her Divas title run sometime this year.

If WWE would just give these ladies a chance, they could bring back a solid division.
