February 2nd sees British women’s wrestling promotion Pro Wrestling:EVE take their first trip up north, as they head to Preston as part of a weekend triple-header with Preston City Wrestling.

The first half of Sunday’s schedule will see EVE hold their second annual “No Man’s Land” event, with a massive championship main event and a stacked undercard announced for the show.

Emi Sakura will defend her EVE Championship against the woman she won it from in controversial fashion at November’s “Wrestle-Fever” iPPV, Nikki Storm. Storm has been very vocal about the circumstances surrounding her defeat, disputing the legitimacy of the match and emotions will undoubtedly run high during this contest.

The woman who Storm defeated to win the EVE Championship in the first place, Alpha Female, will have the chance to vent her amassing frustrations on “Portugal’s Perfect Athlete” Shanna, who has been a thorn in Alpha’s side for some time now, while Kay Lee Ray, hot on the heels of a successful tour of Japan, goes up for the first time against a woman she’s been compared to numerous times because of their high-octane, high-risk styles, Blue Nikita.

Elsewhere we’ll see three of the quarter-final matches of the tournament to crown the inaugural EVE Tag Team Champions, and the annual 15-woman “3-Minute Warning” match, EVE’s very own version of the Royal Rumble, with the winner getting an EVE Championship title shot at any time or place of their choosing.

Here’s the card in full:

* Pro Wrestling:EVE Championship Match:
Emi Sakura (c) vs Nikki Storm

* Pissed Off Monster vs Perfection:
Alpha Female vs Shanna

* Hardcore Daredevil vs Hardcore Daredevil:
Blue Nikita vs Kay Lee Ray

* Pro Wrestling:EVE Tag Team Championship Tournament Quarter-Finals:

* She-X (Bete Noire and Viper) vs Ama-Reilly (Ayesha Ray and Rhia O’Reilly)

* The Glamour Gym (Carmel Jacob and Sara-Marie Taylor) vs April Davids and ???

* Lovely Peppers (Kirsty Love and Polly Peppers) vs The Owens Twins (Kacey and Leah)

* 15-Woman 3-Minute Warning Match for a Free Shot at the EVE Championship:
Featuring Alpha Female, Shanna, Carmel Jacob, Rhia O’Reilly, Bete Noire, Kirsty Love, Ayesha Ray, Sara-Marie Taylor, Leah Owens, Blue Nikita, Polly Peppers, Viper, Kay Lee Ray, Kacey Owens and April Davids

“No Man’s Land 2″ takes place on February 2nd at the Lava Ignite Club in Preston, Lancashire, with doors opening at 2:30 PM. Tickets are available here. For more information about Pro Wrestling:EVE, check out their official website.

Ah now these posts I actually like from Adrian. I really wanna buy this next month, but I dont know if I’ll have enough money by then. Sounds like a heck of a PPV either way.

But tbh Im more looking forward to seeing Carmel Jacobs getting her EVE Championship match.

    Adrian Reply:

    Er, thanks, heh.

The show isn’t going to be streamed on iPPV I’m afraid, I probably should clear that up. I’m going to be seeing it live though, so I’ll probably do some sort of review afterwards.

    Rhawk Reply:

Really? Sad times. AH well at least I dont have to spend anymore money than I need to now. Hope you enjoy yourself there, sounds like it’ll be a great show.

Hey Adrain I know this have nothing to do with this article and I’m sorry for that, but when I read your British Boot Camp review I peed my pants of laughter I know that day you got a lot of heat from typical preppy diva dirters but that is ok since they prefer everything classy but not trashy and they don’t have a good since of humor. Ignore the haters

    Love you man <3 <3 <3

Awww, thanks! I love you too <3

I’m glad to see some people saw the funny side. At least it got people talking, right?

    Yep that is true.

Also it seems obvious to me that April’s partner will be Jenny. Them against Glamour Gym, that I would pay to see.

There really should be an edit button or something on this site for comment that people forget to post.

Really hope Nikki get’s the title back (which should be hers anyway) on the first time of trying and Eve don’t decide to milk this feud any longer.have For me, it’s not an issue with the title being on a wrestler from another country. I’d be a huge hypocrite if that was the case, as I’m perfectly happy with Saraya being Shimmer Champion.

But there was just no sense that Emi ‘earned’ the title. Even putting aside the manner of her victory in a match that wasn’t really a match, there are SO many other Eve regulars who I would consider more more deserving of the title, rather than putting on someone who, whilst undoubtedly a phenomenal wrestler, doesn’t have a significant history with Eve. Hence why the whole thing felt more like a publicity stunt than a natural progression of a story.

Shanna’s due a big win and a bigger push by Eve. She’s arguably one of the most underused talents on the roster (even taking into account her recent absence through injury), so I’d like to see her come out on top against Alpha. On the other hand, I can’t imagine Alpha’s gonna lose two matches in succession, so me hopes aren’t high.

KLR vs Blue Nikita should be awesome, simply by the very presence of KLR. And it’ll be interesting to see how her time in Japan has added to her already immense talent.

With regards to the tag tournament, I’m officially baffled by where we are now. As far as I can tell, teams that were previously eliminated are now in the quarter finals, alongside teams that have only just formed. From the look of things, it seems that Eve have just started from scratch and will now try and complete the tournament over the next few shows.

Not sure who April’s partner will be. Jenny was still out of action, as of last month, so she’s probably unlikely. I guess it could be any of the women wrestling in singles matches on the show.. Alpha could be a possibilty, now that she’s lost the singles title. Or KLR, given her history with Carmel.

In an ideal world, Nikki will win the title from Emi. And KLR will earn the title shot in the 3 minute warning match. But, aside from Britani’s victory at the first title tourny, Eve have generally preferred to finish their shows on a ‘cliffhanger’, such as Jenny and Alpha’s no-contest and Emi’s random title win. And with another Eve show (albeit a ‘mini’ show) just a few weeks later in Sudbury, it seems likely we’ll get something along those lines in Preston too.

Were is Erin ANgel, she usually wrestles for Eve, any word why she isnt on the card this time !!!!!!

    Monkey Tennis Reply:

Eve released a statement a few days ago, saying…

“It is with great regret that we the EVE Management announce that we can not in good conscience allow @xErinAngelx compete at #NoMansLand2. This is due in part to the events that took place at #WrestleFever where “highly toxic cheap hairspray” was sprayed into the eyes of Angel from The Glamour Gym at the conclusion of their tag team contest that also included Angelina Love.”

The statement went on to say that Erin was advised by Doctors to take a 90 day recovery period. Not sure what the real reason if for her missing the show, but according to Eve she will be back for the Sudbury show later in the month.

okay thanks :), i found it weird she wasnt on the card, thanks again

Eve have just announced that carmel will get a title shot on the night before NML2, at PCW’s Road To Glory Night 1 event on the 1st Feb.

In the unlikely event that Carmel wins, the matches on NML2 will go ahead as scheduled, but the Emi vs Sakura match will essentially become a No.1 contender matcg, with the winner facing Carmel later in the evening (presumably at the 2nd PCW show).

Given the nature of the joint shows over the 2 days, it does make sense to put an Eve match on the PCW card, to try and encourage a few of the ‘home fans’ to check out the Eve show the following day. The reasoning behind Carmel’s title shot is a little odd though. Eve have stated she’s getting the shot at the title as was previously announced when Eve fans voted her “Most Underrated Wrestler”. That being the case though, I’d have thought it would be better if she could have had that title match at an actual Eve event, where the fans that voted for her would be in attendance.

Whilst I can’t speak for everyone, I’m assuming there won’t be many Eve fans going to Preston for all 3 shows, or even just the Friday night PCW show.

    Adrian Reply:

I’ll be at all 3, PCW shows are always excellent. Looking forward to it!

    Rhawk Reply:

Yarp as said, there was a short notice EVE Year End Awards 2012 and Carmel Jacobs won the Most Underrated award, and as a result she won an EVE title match. And Im glad its her since besides Shanna, who was injured for a part of last year (I think it was), Carmel is imo one of EVE’s best workers, both in the ring and in character.
I doubt she’ll win at the PCW, I hope she at least gives Emi a run for her money, and prove to EVE that she can be a top contender if they eventually let her.

For those of you who don’t know who is Ayesha Ray aka Amazon she is very intimidating much like Kong but thinner and about the same height. She been around since 2008 trained with the Knight family. despite her size she could do a beautiful suicide dive. She is my favorite rookie and I would love to see her in SHIMMER or WWE someday.
