Winning the Divas Championship in her hometown of Houston, Texas was a moment that Kaitlyn will never forget, and to cap a fairytale week, we name her our Star of the Week.
In the two years Kaitlyn has been in WWE — she was thrust into the spotlight on NXT Season 3 in September 2010, having only been in WWE’s developmental territory for six weeks at the time — she has grown before our very eyes as a performer. We’ve seen her development from NXT to now, and it’s safe to say, the former power-lifter has found her feet in the Divas division.
It’s a pretty career-defining moment to win a championship, especially your very first championship, in your hometown. Kaitlyn was overcome with emotion as she won the title on Monday’s episode of Raw and watching at home, we certainly felt elated for her, too.
If winning the title wasn’t enough, Kaitlyn’s win was made all the more special as it took place on the 20th anniversary episode of Raw and it was three-time champion Eve Torres‘ final night in WWE.

Kaitlyn has come on remarkably since she the first time I saw her on NXT. It’s easy enough to criticize her in-ring ability when comparing her to Eve, Natalya or Beth, but when you’re reminded she has not only been in the WWE for little over 2 years, but in the wrestling industry itself for the same period of time, its quite remarkable how well she has developed!

She definitely deserved it. Well done Kaitlyn. I am sure that she will continue to run strong for a few more months yet before dropping the title – let’s hope that she goes against AJ at ‘Mania!
Unfortunately due to WWE’s bad methods of handling Divas when they have the spotlight Kaitlyn may become somewhat invincible for the first few weeks which will annoy people. Furthermore, after a few Pay-Per-Views a lot of readers are annoyed of the same old matches with the same competitors and will start to say that Kaitlyn is stale and boring.
I am staying hopeful and wishing that no one finds Kaitlyn boring in a few months time but it seems to always happen with face Divas.

Now we just have to hear her/him complain about everything else and put down everyone else.

She definately deservers it cause she is one of the most talented newcomers (next to Naomi) the WWE ever had.
Like the commentators already stated in the championship match, it was a “fairytale in the making” cause we really got to see her grow over the past 2 years and utilize everything good or bad she was given into something positive as much as she could.
It’s very hard to work through all the restrictions and most of all when you are a powerhouse that is not allowed to be one.
Let’s hope that the WWE will do it right this time by lessening the restrictions so the girls can work properly and Kaitlyns first reign can become interesting and memorable.

Problem now is that WWE lost its only heel. Eve. I’m happy for eve though. Alicia and Natalya idk who’s heel. And Layla is a face but while she’s friends with Kate she won’t hesitate to go after her belt lol I love Face Layla :D
I remember Kate in her rookie NXT days she was so clueless but tough… Only 6 months and she took what was probably one of the sickest most brutal kicks I have ever seen from Michelle McCool to the face and sold the hell out of it!! I gained mad respect for Kate there plus her match with Vickie… While Vickie showed how awesome she was, Kate did great too for two inexperienced women!! :)
