WWE are looking to re-brand their live events under new names not affiliated with Raw and Smackdown, according to a new report from PWInsider.
While many of the WWE’s wrestlers, including the Divas, have been working both of the company’s flagship shows, some are more associated with a particular brand, and this new initiative will allow the WWE to have more freedom to split the talent and shake up the show line-ups.
Fans on the WWE’s mailing list are currently being asked for feedback on potential names for the new house shows.
Thoughts: Not a surprise to see WWE mirror their TV tapings and want to make a lot of their main stars appear on whichever houseshow they see fit. However, I am interested in learning the new names and I wonder if the Divas matches/segments will get their own name? Also, it will give fans hope of seeing their favorite star as they won’t be associated with a particular brand, so in terms of business, it’s a smart move.

I don’t think this will change anything to be honest..

I agree, it seems like a waste of time.

I’m hoping that the ladies will get more of a spotlight but things probably won’t change. I am really keeping the fingers crossed though. I mean Alicia Fox and Natalya had a longer match on Superstars. It is a decent start to the new year.

I just hope this means the WWE will go back to having two seperate brands, with Superstars and Divas competing on two different rosters, Raw and Smackdown, allowing more talent the opportunity to shine.

This development is exactly the opposite of what you desire.

Looool :D
i don’t understand how you could read that, and come the conclusion you did? You read it, then said you hope this means everything that it doesn’t mean. You should read things twice :)

Wow, I’m dumb.
Just re-read this and realised what the report states, to be fair guys, I’d just come off a 12 hours shift at work, so I’ll blame it on tiredness! :P

I don’t see this affecting how they use the Divas on house shows at all. The talent pool overall is shallow, and the Divas ridiculously so. They pull in whoever they want from whatever TV “brand” (which doesn’t mean anything anymore) for live tours.

Yeah this doesn’t mean anything. For the longest time they’ve just been putting whoever they want at whatever house show regardless if they’re on that brand or not. I always thought it was ridiculous that I paid for a Smackdown event only to find out that Smackdown talent like Layla, Antonio Cesaro, Cody Rhodes, Damien Sandow, Kaitlyn, etc. were all at the Raw house show.

This won’t change anything. Just a slow news day I guess?

This isn’t very interesting & I doubt it will effect the divas

Sort of off topic but this whole “super show” thing they have going on is beyond annoying. I really miss when there was actually differences between RAW and Smackdown. Now they both have the same ropes, rosters for the brands mean absolutely nothing, and you get the same matches and talent for each show.

Very true. i actually find Smackdown more entertaining, because RAW is completely unwatchable at this point.I just stalk the Raw response post to see when the divas come on . 3 hours is overly long for a wrestling show. but thats just my opinion

i know what wwe are trying to do. they are trying to make people stop people complaining about the divas division and change the live tour
as i did triple h (head of talent and and steph head of creative) has said numerous times they couldn’t give a fuck about the women division and reason they got rid of the women’s title and change it with the divas title
