On this day in history:
January 27th, 2003 | Trish Stratus and Victoria took their hard-hitting feud to the next level in a Chicago Street Fight. Victoria kicked things off by ambushing Trish during her entrance, and Trish soon returned the favor with a flying clothesline from the barricade. Several foreign objects later, Trish was tossed unceremoniously outside the ring over the top rope when Victoria countered the Stratusfaction. A fall from such a height knocked Trish out cold, and Victoria was able to pin her outside the ring and retain her Women’s Title. Trish wasn’t done taking her licks, though, because after the match Jazz made a surprise return, and the look on Trish’s face said it all: here comes the pain. Jazz proceeded to beat down Trish mercilessly with DDTs, a Double Chicken Wing and an STF. Someone get Trish an ice pack..

Victoria and Jazz always looked like they were trying to kill Trish haha that’s what made it so good, much like Melina and Michelle, Lita and Trish, Gail Kim Taylor Wilde and Kong gotta love it
I always freared for Stratus because how big and bad and motivated to kill Trish Jazz and Victoria looked!! :(
Considering how small Trish was compared to both. And before that Molly was also on Trishes grill. Even guys were trying to kill poor Trish lol, Big Show, Chris Norwinsky, Jericho and Christian, Stevie Richards, Test, Eric Bichoff and his goons.. Agh poor Trish lol
So beautiful and so many enemies. Luckily she had her good friends Bully Ray Spike Jeff Hardy and eventually Devon Jackie Ivory and Lita to have her back :)
I love the good guys

And, to put the size of Victoria & Jazz into perspective, Trish, Lita, & Ivory were the same size as Natalya & Kaitlyn.
This led to WM 19, considered by many to be the best Wrestlemania Divas match, ever (It’s between that and Trish-Mickie at WM 22). Last year, some were saying you could pretty much repeat this feud with Natalya, Beth, and Kharma, but it wasn’t to be. Oh well…

Love this match! Love the aftermath! Trish was great at expressing emotions, her face after she saw Jazz was fantastic.Trish might not be the best wrestler, but she handled herself pretty well, and had good acting skills & hunger to improve that made her the WWE legend she is.

Man Trish’s expression was like oh fuck… o.0
Loved te match Trish was excellent and tough geez man she always took some of the sickest stunts!!! The barricade fall looked incredibly painful to the ribs and face :(
I hate when ppl put down Trish even a little she’s awesome! :)
Victoria looks sooo hot here with her muscles! And no she cannot go back to psycho because it was those muscles that made psycho work…
Jazz loved how she busted her way and shoved Victoria out of the way and how throughout the entire beating Victoria and Stevie stayed there witnessing the beating like Whoa… I remember that night I didn’t expect Jazz to come bak and me and my friends were speechless :(
Trish got annihilated and taken out and what appears to look like Trish crying at the end :(
Awesome moment :)
Can never be replicated ever again
Trish’s toughness an courage is what I love about her

Yep, the bumps she took were major. And, she just kept working through what had to be a lot of pain. That one period, for example, saw her work with a herniated disc for months, during which her hand was crushed (costing her a knuckle), and later having her upper lip almost torn off. They just stitched it back together, and she was back defending the Championship on Raw, healing lip, black eye, half her face bruised, and all.
Now, a Diva gets a black eye, and they’ll remove her from TV, for weeks. That must have REALLY annoyed Beth, as she wouldn’t consider it a big deal to wrestle with a black eye. She finished a match with a broken jaw during the Golden Era, after all…

I don’t think anyone can sell that super kick like Trish can!! Wait Molly too ouch!!!
Victoria Super kicks are wicked!! Gaaaahhh!! >_<
Seriously thought that was it for Trish, then the slaps from Victoria's Johnny Benchian man hands!
The second kicks aside from Taylor Wilde Hamada Lita Miss Jackie Moore Torrie Wilson and Mickie James… Gotta go with Michelle and her super kick/big boot to Melina! Ouch!! At The Great American Bash 2009 te way Michelle super kicked Melina and Melina kicked out just before 3, reminded me of this super kick on Trish before 3! :D
Us diva dirt peeps have photographic cinematic memory of matches lol

The good ole days.I loved these three ladies. Add Gail, Molly, Nidia and Jackie and your division is golden. A true golden era of the Women’s Division.

Is It just me or does Trish look ALOT different just from 2003-2004, 5, and 6??
Like her body and face look really different. When she debuted her face looked rounder and chubbier. Later in her carrer though it looked longer and skinnier. Maybe it was just the way she was working out or just age. But she REALLY looks different just from 2003 to 2004.
About the match, that superkick was awesome. Stevie Richards is a retard lol. The look on Trish’s face when she saw Jazz was awesome!! HAHA

I thought I was the only one who noticed this difference on Trish. I think the main thing was her hair that made her look different, but, as she was getting older she was getting prettier, at least to me.

Yeah I’ve noticed that too…yeah her face looks rounder here, and her eyebrows look thinner.

Yea there is some pictures from 2006 and 2005 where she looks like a completly different person compared to 2001-2003. Its almost like the shape of her face changes. You can tell that in the last year or so of her carrer that she lost alot of weight.

This match was excellent, minus the ending. I’ve noticed PPV endings are not as memorable as the matches themselves with Trish. Some of them atleast. Wrestlemania 22, Survivor Series 02, Armageddon 02, and a few others.
Trish lost alot of weight throughout her career. I think she mentioned in interviews how she began to work out more seriously and focused on agility as opposed to her body bulder esque workouts in 2000/01. Then after she suffered her back in injury early 05, she began doing yoga at the suggestion of Lita. So then she adopted the yoga workouts which probably helped change her figure again by 05 and 06. I love the stuff she came up with, yoga and then incorporated resistance training for building muscle as well. This is why she looked leaner, yet still toned and muscular. She’s incredible. Love Trish!

Well I hate to say this….but….I Personally suspected Trish might have had some work done on her lips when she started out. You can tell they’re somewhat unaturally plumper in some instances. I’m very observant, but maybe she didn’t . Maybe she was just an expert at makeup and stuff like that. She did come from a modeling background and landed many covers prior to WWE, so she knew her stuff. Also, her face shape was somewhat altered because she broke her nose a few times and from what I understood, never got surgery on it. I read this long ago, so forgive my bad memory.
Speaking of gossip – there are many false stories called Urban Legends about the divas. Some horrible ones about Lita and Trish. Remember its extremely easy to make stuff up so I won’t buy that shit. Some stuff MIGHT be true, but I bet its exaggerated for kicks.

Trish has mentioned she had to get two nose jobs from them getting broken so that could be why.

Thanks Billy. I knew I was rusty on that one. Regardless, Trish Stratus looks fabulous in anything and in any look. She’s one of the most beautiful women in the world. =)

Can you guys see any of the current crop of divas (main roster or nxt) delivering a match like that? & do you all believe that the current limitations put on the girls has hindered their ability to really connect with the fans?

If the limitations weren’t in place I think the current crop on both the main roster and on NXT could easily deliver matches like this. I think the limitations do hurt them in the eyes of the fans because the fans then read it as the girls aren’t capable when that’s usually not the case at all. Also, what hurts them with connecting with the fans is a general lack of storylines and defined characters (see Alicia Fox skipping from heel to face and back again almost every week).
