Recent WWE signee Davina Rose made her in-ring debut at the NXT live event on Thursday.
WWE Signs Independent Wrestler
Curiously wearing a mask, Davina debuted under her real name of Pamela, teaming up with Paige and Charlotte to take on Emma, Summer Rae and Audrey Marie. Davina’s team won the match.
She also wrestled at their live event on Friday, this time working as a heel (and without the mask), where she was defeated by Charlotte after a backslide.

That looks like Sara Del Rey’s Nic Grimes mask.

And I hope that we see her and Charlotte soon on NXT.

They usually do that with all the name female talent that debuts at live events! She’ll probably will be getting her ring name in a week or so than soon after than she’ll debut on nxt like Sasha did.

She’s wrestling as “Pamela” ( her real name) at the moment.

well Buggy Nova and Paige wrestled under their real names for a while in NXT, before being given their respective ring names. My guess is that she will be named soon enough!!

Looks like they’re playing around with the idea of making her a masked character!

I would love a masked diva!! And i think davina has amazing wrestling ability and potential to be great. This masked gimmick is something new fresh and daring. I love it.

I was wondering when we were going to see a masked Diva. This is interesting, I like it. :)
Can’t wait to see how good she is in the ring. :)

I feel the same way. We need to see a masked Diva in WWE.

They missed the boat doing this with Taylor Wilde as San Eye back in the day, it’s a ready built storyline to have an enigmatic masked Diva and it’s not like there’s many known at there these days (with the exception of Saturyne)

oh completely forgot she got signed!! Great to see a masked Diva, hope she keeps that gimmick!

Audrey Marie was special referee and Dani was ring announcer!

I hope Davina portrays a masked villain on NXT’s main show.

Never liked the idea if having a masked women’s wrestler, so I hope they don’t go with this idea, personally.

I sort of agree on not going with it because part of the mask thing is that no one is suppose to know what you look like (at least in Lucha but from what I gather it applies anywhere) and we all know what she looks like. No mystery there.
But if she can pull it off, awesome. Something fresh for the divas.

The female wrestling fans is a lot smaller than the wider world and to be fair that’s in REAL Lucha tradition, she’s not Mexican/a real Lucha and it’s part of her gimmick. Most people know what Mysterio looks like under the mask yet people still get excited when someone tries to pull it off. With social media the way it is, it’s difficult to keep that tradition.

I personally love this idea!, its unique in diva terms, WWe has never really had a masked female in the company and it would draw attention to her and let her stand out
obviously it is just a trial since she competed once with her mask and once without, but i hope they go with the mask and keep the Davina for her

The Fabulous Moolah and Luna Vachon were some who has brief stints wrestling under a mask in WWE but they never really had a female talent who actually wears a mask
They were going to have Taylor Wilde wear a mask and go under the name San-Eye. It was planned for her to compete first in the then-cruiserweight division and she was going to wear a custom ring gear where people would not know she was a woman

Moolah and Luna wrestled as The Spider, an original WWF character, aka Penny Mitchell.

I knew that they all wore masks and everything, i was really pulling for Taylor Wilde to wrestle with a mask, it would have been so interesting and different and I am hoping someone wears a mask for the divas soon,
and what i was getting it there never has been a long period diva masked or anything

Sounds good to me.
NXT > WWE/TNA

wrestling wise, yes. But, I’d like to see the NXT Divas get some storylines to give them purpose, instead of just random matches (the matches are great though!)

Still better than WWE & TNA’s definition of ‘storylines’ though.

It’s been a very long time since WWE have had a masked women wrestler, almost 30 years (The Spider)
at 7:51 pm
I like the idea of a masked woman’s wrestler, but why does the mask and outfit have to be so tacky? Why can’t she wear a mask like in the Britney Spears shows? The sexy performance masks with beads and feathers and fierceness all over it, with a sexy ring attire!

I don’t see anything wrong with somebody not liking a person’s ring attire.

Davina looks so dark-esque in that picture with her ring gear/mask along with Paige.
These 2 and another NXT Diva (maybe Emma) should form a stable like The Shield.
at 12:18 am
My ass might get burned from this but I think the mask is a good thing. When I saw her picture I didnt think she was very pretty and in the WWE, appearance like it or not matters. Her look is very generic but her ring skills are amazing. Its a good idea to keep a masked diva because it strays away from the generic barbie doll mold diva and her skills will make her like a female rey mysterio. Definitely bring some new flavor to the company.

Are you both for real? I’ll make sure when I read a comment about you two bitching about the treatment of the division, I’ll know exactly where the problem is. Oh, and by the way, I wouldn’t be complaining about butter faces and making it far, when your icon is Sherri Shepard.
