Following the departure of Sarita from TNA last month, rumors began to surface that her former tag team partner Rosita was also leaving the company.
Neither Rosita nor TNA confirmed the news at the time, but yesterday Rosita made it official on Twitter. She tweeted:
As of yesterday I am no longer employed w/TNA. It was the best decision 4me right now. THX 2: The fans! TNA & Dixie Carter 4the opportunity!

Rosita, real name Thea Trinidad, went on to clarify that she is not retiring from wrestling.

Personally i dont think she was ready for TV, she was way too green. But at least she gained some experience in TNA from working with Gail Kim, Sarita etc.
And since she is from the NorthEast we will probably continue to see her in the usual places like WSU, BLOW, NEW, FWE, NWS etc.

Aww, though. I thought TNA could have done so much more with her. I kinda wish they didn’t focus on Velvet Sky (even though I like her) and the ex-WWE Divas all the time and switch it around a little bit. Oh well, at least Thea seems happy with the decision and is grateful for the opportunity. :)

I follow her on twitter and Instagram… She has been hanging with Josh Matthews, began using tout, and it appears she asked for her release… It may be a long shot, but I think she and Josh are vying to get her into the WWE. Which I would love, she’s main roster ready, considering TNA and WWE wrestling styles are the same.

well to play devil’s advocate Talia or Velvet or whatever has been then longer then Winter Sarita and Rosita i would love to see Jacqueline but why should Velvet lose a spot cause you want some else there and to be honest no matter if you consider Velvet limited i think TNA considers her more experienced then Rosita this is coming from a non confrontation place a little point counter point :)

A part of me doesn’t think that’s a fair comparison since Velvet’s been wrestling for TEN YEARS and she still looks as if she’s wrestling in her first match ALL THE TIME. Sure, compared to the average Knockout, Rosita wasn’t the best, but she’s rather young, and if she had even half the experience Velvet has, she’d be light-years ahead of Velvet.

Aw sad face. While I knew she was definetly too green for main TV, I still loved Rosita/Thea regardless as she had a nice look and a story to make people connect with her more. Hopefully a few years down the road, or even sooner rather than later even, we can see her being picked up by WWE since, again, she has come experience, a nice look and a heart-touching story for people to connect with her more. Plus she’s what, 21/22? She has plenty of time to make it big if she wanted to.

As much as I think Jillian would make a good Knockout, I feel like there would just be an overload of ex-WWE divas; especially since Madison Rayne is technically the only Knockout left without any affiliation to WWE. I feel like hiring Reby Sky would be pointless since she’s essentially an older Rosita, and TNA seems to be gradually gearing more toward looks than actual skill, so I don’t think LuFitso would fit in as a modern day Knockout.

That is why I want LuFitso.
Because the division functions better under diversity rules. When every knockout is different, and has a separate character, its more entertaining.
And technically yes- about Madison being the only one not affiliated with WWE. But even though Velvet and ODB were, in a minor way, TNA made them stars. If they weren’t in TNA, you wouldn’t recognise them.
And Jillian is a great wrestler, one of, if not the best female mic worker WWE ever had, IMO. She can make other girls look amazing.
And Melina too, I don’t understand why she hasn’t appeared yet!

I’m surprised by her release due to how much TNA love to push underdogs. Regardless I don’t really think much of her I would love to see her in NXT or SHIMMER mixing it up with the girls down there.

I’d like to see her go to SHIMMER or even Mexico and get a bit more polished in the ring just to have some more experience under her belt. Random segue, Diva Dirt NEEDS to get an interview with Sarita. The fact that TNA was dumb enough to let her go hit the division HARD.

Sarita/Sarah Stock one of the best lady wreslers in the business gone from TNA those idiots at TNA are crazy they never pushed her or gave her a decent chance to show how great she is in the rin or on the mic cutting promos.
