Shelly Martinez Not Approached for TNA Knockouts PPV
Shelly Martinez has announced that TNA have not contacted her in regards to their upcoming Knockouts-only pay-per-view.
In a video on her official Youtube account, Shelly responded to questions about whether TNA had asked her to be a part of the special upcoming PPV, and she said: “They [TNA] didn’t! My feelings are truly, truly hurt right now.”
Shelly seemed to be under the impression that many former Knockouts were offered a role on the show, yet so far, we only know that Angelina Love, Kharma and Traci Brooks have declined offers. Other names such as Rain, Rosita, Roxxi, Sarita and Winter have all said they aren’t taking part, but it is unknown if they were actually approached at all.
Shelly competed as Salinas in TNA up until September 2008, prior to which she performed as Ariel in the WWE.
TNA One Night Only: Knockout Knockdown will be taped this Sunday, March 17th.

she is good and she going to wrestling school so that will only help her get back in the driver seat and show people that she is more then TNA she can wrestle with the best of them!

plus anyone that love wrestling like she does should have a job in these said company’s her blog’s and voc nation are marketing tools for said company’s she can go on the air and push for PPV buys and write about superstar’s and diva’s or Knockout’s or women of honor. I really shock that WWE since there in SMS they didn’t hire Shelly to push it more.

yes they are. They don’t really need to bring in any former KO’s. It would be great to see them though. ODB, Tara,Gail,Velvet,Madison,Mickie,and Tessmacher are enough to do a 1 night tournament. You can fill any extra time with promos and clips of historical KO moments.

Maybe not convincing to some, but most based on UK Tour and on Lockdown, TNA fans will digg the current division just fine.
Sure adding more would be great and seeing the originals would be awesome
But no one is gonna mope and beg them, we really don’t need them I’m happy with Velvet leading the charge alongside Brooke Gail Tara Mickie ODB and Madison, oh and now Teryn! :)
One thing bothers me though, we all know who has turned down to return to TNA, but who has actually said YES????

Who knows what were going to get at the ppv even if they just use the roster they have were going to get great matches as we’ve seen the kos wrestle well , we may get a heel turn or two, a face turn, gimmick matches, maybe a debut, a return, that’s enuf for me to wanna buy it, but as I’m in the uk it may be free on challenge!!!!

She sounds like Melina a little. I never really liked Shelly after I heard her weigh in on stuff about Matt and Lita. Wish her the best and maybe she’ll get called up. I don’t care either way.

She actually played Melina’s storyline sister in the Indys; and yes she sounds does sound a bit like her.

She basically took Matt’s side; not really slamming Lita, but saying how it was messed up for her to cheat on Matt when he was (to her knowledge) sweet and kind to her even when she put on weight after her neck surgery (I’m generalizing, but that’s pretty much the jest of it).

Yes that’s what she said. And you know, I was always into Ariel before that. I wanted her to succeed. I guess I do like her, because she’s down for hard knocks in the ring. The thing is, she is a professional (in theory anyway) who was co workers with Lita briefly too. I don’t think women in the wrestling biz should trash each other, just because a lot of guys and male fans already do it. So why not be more classy and professional. I really liked Molly’s response to that. She was very right in saying the only reason people were pointing fingers was because their own demons hadn’t been exposed, but everyone is sinful and not anyone is sin free.
Sorry for going off topic – I’ll be pleased to see Shelly if she shows up.

She was mainly a valet, a very popular valet might I add. She was managing LAX at their height in popularity and feuding with the likes of Jackie Moore, Angelina Love and Velvet Sky (the segments they had together were funny) but her main rival was Christy Hemme (another valet) from what I remember.
Either way LAX was one of TNA’s best and most popular tag teams and she was heavily involved with them. Plus she’s part of the original 10 so there’s that as well.

Exactly^ very few women in TNA got a reaction like Salinas did just by being a valet. She wasn’t phenomenal in the ring, but she could easily wrestle when necessary. Personally, I think this whole No thing that the women are pulling, is all hype. I think they may just be saying that and they may actually be showing up. But, hey. TNA has exactly treated alot of those women well so..

Shelly is a very charimatic girl and I saw some good matches of her in the Indies, so I hope they contact her because she is one of the original Knockouts and she deserves a position in the PPV.

Did DivaDirt actually watch the full video? At the end of the video she said she’s bringing her Salinas shorts for reasons and acted funny and then in the third segment has her hair styled like she always did when she portrayed Salinas. Personally, I’ve always liked Shelly, and I think she was approached and is just holding back.

Not a real loss if they don’t ask her to come. This is the same woman who said she never took wrestling seriously until the past couple of years. Why bring back someone who had a job with a company and then goes on to say that, basically, it meant nothing because she wasn’t serious about it? The only reason she is gung ho about wrestling again is because her acting/modeling career isn’t really taking off and she knows that in wrestling, some people actually knew who she was.
