TNA’s Gut Check Challenge has been tarnished by several technical difficulties throughout its existence and controversy has struck again in the final round.
“Portugal’s Perfect Athlete” Shanna had been neck-and-neck with “Bad Bones” John Klinger in the winner’s bracket round all the way through, but Klinger came out on top in the end. He will receive a live Gut Check on Impact Wrestling at some point in the future.
However, a fan on Facebook has made Shanna aware of an issue that could prove that Klinger’s fans have found an illegal loophole in the voting.
The rules state that in each bracket, a fan can only vote for one wrestler on one occasion, yet according to the fan’s report, Klinger’s fans have been able to vote for him numerous times on the same I.P. address by using several different email addresses. This is obviously against the rules, and Shanna has expressed her hope that TNA officials will look into the matter.
Read the fan message and Shanna’s response below:
Although this claim is going against John Klinger, who is to say that fans of other participants haven’t used the same tactic to vote for their favourite?
Whether TNA will look into the matter is unknown. Just like the beginning, the finish to this competition has been marred with controversy.
