Today in History: Ivory Wins Her First Women’s Championship

    On this day in history:

June 14th, 1999 | After winning the Women’s Title from Sable a month prior, Debra put the belt on the line against Ivory. Debra had Jeff Jarrett in her corner, but Ivory wasn’t alone either: she had Sable’s old bodyguard Nicole Bass on her side. Bass factored in heavily, choking out Debra and allowing Ivory to roll her up for the pin. With the victory, Ivory became Women’s Champion for the very first time.
