Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair was a special guest on last night’s Stone Cold Podcast following Raw. In addition to his illustrious career, Flair was asked about his daughter and current Divas Champion Charlotte.
Weeks ago, the WWE made mention of Flair’s late son Reid in an angle involved Charlotte and Paige. Flair admitted that the angle was hard on himself and Charlotte and that the tears she cried in the promo were real. Flair continues that Charlotte puts her all in every day because Reid wanted to be a wrestler and she is living his dream. He also said he doesn’t blame anyone for what happened and the backlash of the angle.
Flair also said that Charlotte winning the Divas Championship was the biggest point of his career. Prior to her win, the biggest moment of his career was his match against Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 24.
Austin also asked Flair if Charlotte being his daughter was a pro or con to which Flair replied he didn’t even contact anyone about getting her a job in WWE, it was all her. Charlotte had attended the Hall of Fame ceremony in 2012 where John Laurnitis asked Charlotte why she wasn’t wrestling. That was in April of 2012 and she was in WWE developmental by July. Flair also said he believed Charlotte had a lot of pressure on her early on but people now realize she is a better athlete than he ever was.
