Beth Phoenix Pregnant With Her Second Child

Beth Phoenix and Edge are expecting their second child, and its arrival is just around the corner.

The couple announced the happy news in an interview with WWE.com, revealing that Beth is already eight months along.

Beth and Edge – who attended last night’s WWE Hall of Fame ceremony – also shared updates on Beth’s life as a mother and grad student. Edge gushed about his wife, crediting her with holding down their life at home while he films his WWE Network series:

“Beth has been, somehow, chasing around a two-year-and-four-month-old, taking care of four dogs, maintaining the household and getting a Master’s Degree in forensic psychology, all at the same time, while I go and act like a moron with my lifelong best friend. It’s a partnership — it has to be, in order to juggle everything. Fortunately, I’ve got a pillar, so I can go and do the show knowing that everything at home is A-OK. It’s been an interesting ride over the past few months.”

The three-time Women’s Champion explained why she’s been absent from recent WWE gatherings, blaming her busy life as a mother:

“I haven’t been able to come back here for a couple of years because I’ve been chasing our first child, Lyric — our little two-year-old who’s very excited to be a big sister. It’s been a while since I’ve been able to come back, visit everybody and enjoy the experience. Before I get back into ‘Baby Land,’ I thought this was a good window to come and say ‘hi,’ see the new generation of Divas and where it’s all headed.”

Beth and Edge’s first child – a daughter named Lyric – was born in December 2013.

Congratulations to the parents-to-be!
