Tonight at No Mercy, Alexa Bliss defends the Raw Women’s Championship against Bayley, Emma, Nia Jax and Sasha Banks in a Fatal 5-Way match. Will Alexa Bliss be able to overcome the odds against her to retain the title? The Diva Dirt team weighs in.
Abir: The concept of a Fatal-5-Way is to drop in the element of surprise. And as Nia Jax was taken down first by three of her competitors on Monday, thus making her look the weakest, I believe that she’ll be crowned the Women’s champion. And it’ll definitely be interesting to see her face Alexa for the rematch clause feud.
Alex: If PPV patterns remain true, then I think we’re due for another surprise win in the division… which is why I’m calling a Championship win for Emma at No Mercy. We’ve got rumors circulating that she’d be Asuka‘s first opponent, there’s Paige returning which is putting a limelight back on the NXT ’12 crew and she’s just been given a new theme which is actually a catchy personalized jam. I’m sensing something is in store and that might be her first Women’s Championship!
Candace: My vote is going for Nia Jax this time.
Josue: This year’s No Mercy’s Women’s Championship has changed so many times. We went from a singles match to a Fatal 4-Way to the now Fatal 5-Way upon Bayley’s last minute return. Still no matter how many times things may have changed, I feel like the end game was always to have Alexa Bliss retain. That’s keeping in mind of the inevitable Four Horsewomen vs. Four Horsewomen feud Sasha and Bayley will enter as well as Asuka meeting Emma upon her arrival to Raw.
Matthew: Alexa Bliss should get the win on this one.
Stephanie: It’s truly Emma’s time and with the rumor that she may be Asuka’s first target, she more than deserves to win the title and elevate that feud even more. However, this is Raw we’re talking about, where the big moments never have adequate follow up so I expect Alexa Bliss to retain in some shifty fashion.
BREAKDOWN: 3 for Alexa Bliss, 0 for Bayley, 1 for Emma, 2 for Nia Jax, 0 for Sasha Banks.
