Chaos ensues before the Rumble

This week on Smackdown Live (Jan 23rd), Naomi battled Liv Morgan, accompanied to the ring by Ruby Riott and Sarah Logan, in singles action.

Despite Naomi having an early advantage, Liv Morgan would soon take control of the match up, using a double stomp to ground Naomi. As the match progressed, Lana, Natalya, Carmella and Becky Lynch would all make their way down to ringside to watch the action unfold. It would be Naomi who would end up getting the win over Liv.

Following the match, a brawl would ensue between the majority of the Smackdown women’s division. After chasing Natalya from the ring, Becky Lynch attempted to throw Naomi over the top rope, only for Naomi to land on the apron. This led to the Smackdown Women’s Champion Charlotte coming out.

Charlotte complimented Becky, calling what she did “fierce,” before declaring that friendships and alliances ultimately mean nothing when competing for a chance at her championship at WrestleMania. Flair would finish her remarks by wishing everyone this Sunday good luck, including the winner.

What did you guys think of this week’s episode of Smackdown? Who do you believe will win the first ever women’s Royal Rumble? Let us know in the comments below!
