Results: RISE 9 – Rise of the Knockouts

This past weekend (July 7th), RISE and Impact Wrestling presented their RISE 9 – Rise of Knockouts event where a new Phoenix Of RISE Champion was crowned as well as the first-ever Guardians of RISE Tag Team Champions.

As it was reported prior to RISE 9, Delilah Doom relinquished the Phoenix of RISE Championship after suffering an injury that would prevent her from competing. There was suppose to be a 30 Minute Iron Woman Match to crown a new Champion between Shotzi Blackheart and Mercedes Martinez, but in an unfortunate turn of events, Blackheart also suffered an injury the night before in Los Angeles, CA.

As the night began to wrap up a new main event was determined when Mercedes Martinez made her way to the ring and wanted to be crowned the new champion. This brought out Tessa Blanchard who revealed that she had signed a contract to compete in the 30 Minute Iron Woman Main Event match.

Results below, courtesy of Wrestling News:

  • Dark Match: Deonna Purrazzo defeated Allie.
  • Tessa Blanchard defeated Kris Wolf.
  • The Twisted Sisters (Thunder Rosa & Holidead) defeated Ray Lyn & Karen Q.
  • Madison Rayne defeated Kikyo.
  • Kimber Lee defeated Shazza McKenzie.
  • Falls Count Anywhere Match for the Knockouts Championship: Su Yung defeated Saraya Knight.
  • Four Way Elimination Match for The Guardians Of RISE Championships: Raven Ash & Dust (w/Rosemary) defeated Fire And Nice (Chelsea Green & Britt Baker), The Blue Nation (Jessica Troy & Charli Evans) and Kylie Rae & Miranda Alize to become the new Champions.
  • 30 Minute Iron Woman Match for the vacated Phoenix Of RISE Championship: Tessa Blanchard defeated Mercedes Martinez by 2 falls to 1 to become the new Champion.

You can watch replay of the show on Impact Wrestling’s Twitch Channel.
