As if the first weekend in April 2019 wasn’t already filled to the brim with various shows, Stardom will be holding an event in the U.S. during WrestleMania weekend.
Stardom made the announcement today on Twitter that they will hold an event called American Dream in the Big Apple 2019 at the NYC Arena in Queens, on Friday, April 5.
Tickets for the event go on sale Christmas day at midnight EST. The show itself starts at 4 p.m. EST.
The announcement was also made via SHIMMER’s Twitter page. SHIMMER has been tied to various joshi promotions in the past, since their formation in Chicago in 2005, and made the statement that the Stardom show would occur on the same day as the SHIMMER show, scheduled for 11 a.m. EST at La Boom, a nightclub in Queens.
Stardom works closely with Ring of Honor, as well, sharing talent. The promotion was formed in 2010, and is one of the leading women’s wrestling promotions in Japan.
Fans are excited to see if current World of Stardom Champion Kagetsu will get a chance to defend her title. Kagetsu won her title back in May, after defeating Toni Storm.
Links to tickets and further updates on the show will occur after Stardom’s Year End Awards Party, later this evening.
