WWE launches NOW India series starring Gaelyn Mendonca

WWE NOW is an online series that depicts recaps, previews, and breaking news. It is currently hosted by Cathy Kelly. In efforts for WWE to continue as a worldly brand, this series will expand to India. According to WWE.com, WWE NOW India will be starting today. Gaelyn Mendonca will host this series.

Mendonca is an Indian actress who has also had her experience in the modeling field. She has experience as a host from her time as an MTV VJ and hosting the MTV India show, MTV Roadies. Per the WWE.com website, the following was announced:

“Starting today, WWE presents a new series that’s made just for the WWE Universe in India. WWE NOW INDIA, hosted by Gaelyn Mendonca, is fans’ all-access pass to all things WWE, presented in Hindi and posting every week on WWE’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.

Every week, WWE NOW INDIA and Mendonca (@vjgaelyn) deliver a desi twist to the breaking news, exclusive interviews and hottest stories in WWE that have all of India talking, as well as previews and recaps of Raw, SmackDown, NXT and pay-per-views, including WrestleMania. In the series’ premiere episode, Mendonca takes the WWE Universe along for a look at WWE’s first-ever talent tryout in India, where more than 70 prospects from around the country took part to realize their dream of becoming a WWE Superstar.”

Previously reported on the tryouts in India, this series can help highlight female athletes for their country. Mendonca being involved as the host of WWE NOW India is a further representation of women in the broadcasting role on a worldwide scale.
