For the last two weeks, Brandi Rhodes teased she would announce a new female talent on the latest episode of “Road to Double or Nothing.” Today, All Elite Wrestling confirmed Allie will be the newest member of their women’s division.
The two-time Impact Knockouts Champion is perhaps one of the most well-known female signings to date due to her current run with Impact Wrestling. She has also held the Shimmer and Shine Tag Team Championships, boasting 13 years of experience in the business.
She was featured this week alongside Sandra Gray, who fans of Total Divas will recognize as Seamstress Sandra. The 25-year veteran could be one of the most pivotal non-wrestling additions to the promotion.
Allie went on to speak about what this new opportunity means to her.
“I really want to make my mark in AEW,” Allie said. “Even though I’ve had those opportunities, now, I really want to show people what I can do. I don’t know if I’ve had that chance before.”
It’s unclear if she will be part of Double or Nothing. In any case, Allie finished up her last set of tapings with Impact before negotiating with AEW. According to Dave Meltzer, her contract expired.
