Rhea Ripley apologises for homophobic slur

Rhea Ripley has been the talk of the online wrestling community, and not in a good way since last night. The former WWE NXT UK Women’s Champion found herself in a bit of hot water for using a homophobic slur during a live stream on Twitch.

As the story goes, a fan asked to be insulted by Ripley. Said fan tipped her $15 to be insult them in Australian slang. Rhea responded by calling the person a “stupid motherf*cking f*ggot.”

The stream has since been pulled and fans have been weighing in on social media.

While she seems to have more people backing her than not, Rhea also released a statement via Twitter, stating:

    Rhea Ripley

So the question to the fans is do you forgive Rhea Ripley? Is her apology enough? Is this just a stupid mistake that she as a very young woman can learn from, or does she deserve to be canceled?
