Knockouts Battle Royal announced for Friday’s IMPACT

IMPACT Wrestling has announced a Knockouts Battle Royal to take this place on this Friday’s episode of IMPACT.

Announced competitors so far include Tessa Blanchard, Jordynne Grace, Alisha Edwards, Kiera Hogan and Madison Rayne, with more competitors expected to take part in the match, as well.

Blanchard is a former Knockout’s Champion, and may in fact be considered the favorite due to her outstanding list of accomplishments.

One could also look to the red-hot Grace as potential contender to win this match because of her overpowering strength.

Rayne is also a former Knockout’s Champion, and has the most in-ring experience of any of the announced competitors in the match.

Alisha Edwards has had a lot of history competing by her husband Eddie Edward’s side, but is a formidable competitor in her own right.

Rounding out the list of featured combatants is Kiera Hogan, who’s had a nice run on IMPACT over the last year and was most recently a major player in the RosemarySu YungAllie storyline.

IMPACT has had a few battle royals over the company’s long history, including at the Sacrifice pay-per-view in 2008.

In that match, a hybrid battle royal-ladder match, the field of 10 competitors took part in a battle royal until there were two left standing. Once the match reached that point, the remaining two Knockouts would have to climb a ladder and retrieve a contract guaranteeing the victor a title shot.

Who do you think will win the battle royal? How do the Knockouts of today compare to the Knockouts of 10 years ago? Sound off in the comments below.
