SMASH Wrestling to crown first-ever women’s champ at The Summit

SMASH Wrestling will crown its inaugural Women ‘s Champion at “The Summit,” a women’s wrestling supershow featuring SMASH, RISE, SHIMMER and Femme Fatales on August 10 at the Midtown Event Theatre in Toronto.

Rosemary and KC Spinelli will duke it out to be crowned the first-ever SMASH Wrestling Women’s Champion during SummerSlam weekend in Canada.

Rosemary and Spinelli are perhaps both best known for their work in IMPACT Wrestling, where Rosemary is a former women’s champion. The two faced off a handful of times while in IMPACT together, with Rosemary coming out on top each time.

Spinelli has held championships all around the globe, including the ECCW women’s championship and the PWA Elite women’s championship, a belt that she was defeated for by Rosemary in 2015.

SMASH Wrestling has been around since 2012, and has largely been considered a launching ground for the feud between frenemies Rosemary and Cherry Bomb, otherwise known as Allie.

The company also holds an annual CanUSA Tournament, pitting female superstars from Canada and the United States against each other in an effort to prove their own home country’s dominance.

This title match is one of four titles that will be decided at the Summit, with titles from all of the other companies listed above being contested, as well.

Who do you think will come out on top? Sound off in the comments below.
