Taya Valkyrie to defend her Knockouts Title against Madison Rayne

The IMPACT Knockouts Title will be up for grabs on Friday night, as Taya Valkyrie puts her belt on the line in a matchup with Madison Rayne.

The match was announced via Twitter by the official IMPACT Wrestling account on Wednesday afternoon.

Valkyrie has been Knockouts champ for four months now, having won the belt back in January by defeating Tessa Blanchard at Homecoming.

She’s since defended the belt against challengers like Blanchard and Jordynne Grace.

Rayne is no stranger to the Knockouts title herself, having won the championship on five separate occasions, most recently defeating Gail Kim in 2014 to mark her fifth reign as champion.

Since then, Rayne has competed in Ring of Honor and was a competitor in the second annual Mae Young Classic in 2018. She’s a veteran of the business, having competed since 2006.

She made her IMPACT debut back in 2009.

Valkyrie has tasted championship gold in AAA, having won the Reina de Reinas title twice. This is her first reign as IMPACT Knockout’s Champion.
