WWE Superstars reflect on NXT prior to TakeOver XXV

WWE’s developmental brand NXT has featured their TakeOver events since 2014. It has been five years since the brand has been able to feature it’s the best talent on a special that is equivalent to its main rosters pay-per-views. Tonight on the WWE Network the 25th TakeOver event will be featured.

As a general structure for TakeOver events five matches will be featured on the card. The women’s match will be Shayna Baszler defending her NXT Women’s Championship against Io Shirai. Baszler is the only woman to hold the title twice in NXT’s history. She has been in her second reign since beating Kairi Sane in October at the Evolution pay-per-view.

Heading into TakeOver XXV, a few WWE Superstars share their memories of wrestling at these events. Former NXT Women’s Champion Ember Moon took to her Twitter account to share her thoughts. Coming in from the independent scene, she shares how much she continued to grow in the developmental territory.

Moon wasn’t the only main roster star that shared her memories. Natalya who participated in the first ever TakeOver event shared her “special times” with Charlotte Flair. Flair responded by saying that her match against Natalya was the most important match of her career. This speaks volume of how much these events mean to its participants. Flair has since been in the main event at WrestleMania.

TakeOver XXV will go live tonight on the WWE Network at 7 p.m. ET. Who do you think will win the championship match? Will Baszler continue her monstrous reign or can Shirai pull out her first title with the company?
