Women’s Tag Team Titles to be defended on SmackDown

It has been two months since Asuka and Kairi Sane had Paige officially announce them as The Kabuki Warriors. Since then they have had exactly two backstage segments on SmackDown. During WWE’s tour of Tokyo, Japan, they finally had a match against the current Tag Team Champions, The IIconics. They defeated them in a non-title match earning them a title shot.

It was announced earlier today on WWE.com that The Kabuki Warriors are finally getting their title opportunity on tonight’s SmackDown.

Last week, Paige tried to get the title shot for her team, but Billie Kay said she was “sick.”

The IIconics have been frequently losing their bouts whether they have been as a team or in singles action. With the lack of effort, WWE has been putting into the women’s tag team division lately this match could go either way.

Who do you think will walk out of SmackDown as Women’s Tag Team Champions? Will The Kabuki Warriors get the gold or will The IIconics retain?
