Candice LeRae added to number one contenders match

Originally the scheduled match to determine a new number one contender for the NXT Women’s Title was supposed to be handled in a Triple Threat. It has now been turned into a Fatal Four-way. Candice LeRae will join Mia Yim, Bianca Belair, and Io Shirai to battle it out on NXT’s debut on the USA Network on Sept. 18.

LeRae went to NXT’s General Manager William Regal to demand to know why her recent rival Shirai was participating but she wasn’t. As a result, Regal agreed to allow her in the match. LeRae and Shirai have been bitter enemies ever since Shirai turned on LeRae. Shirai has made the Kendo stick her new best friend.

This match will determine who will face Shayna Baszler who has dominated the division for almost a year with her title reign. It is expected to be a very personal encounter between the four women. Yim and Belair have had their recent feud and are no strangers to each other. LeRae and Shirai have put on arguably one of the best women’s matches of the year at TakeOver: Toronto.

What are your thoughts on LeRae being added to the match? She could be the wildcard.
