IMPACT Wrestling’s move to AXS TV has been confirmed

Just recently IMPACT Wrestling broke the news that their parent company Anthem had some great news. They partnered with Mark Cuban and Steve Harvey on the acquisition of AXS TV and HDNet Movies. This sparked great hopes for IMPACT to receive the opportunity to jump to AXS from their current presence on the Pursuit channel. At the time a timeframe to make the change hadn’t been announced, until now.

Announced today, there has been an agreement made to broadcast IMPACT! nationally across the U.S. now on AXS TV. This will occur after their biggest pay-per-view event of the year Bound For Glory. This event takes place on Oct. 20 and IMPACT! will begin airing thereafter weekly at their new home. They will continue to simulcast their show on their official Twitch channel.

AXS TV isn’t a stranger to wrestling being broadcasted on their network. They have been airing WOW- Women of Wrestling since January and just debuted their second season with the network on Sept. 7. It is part of AXS’s Friday Night Fights schedule that also includes New Japan Pro Wrestling.

What are your thoughts of IMPACT! moving to AXS TV? Do you think this could help with viewership for the company and how may that help the Knockouts division?
