Alicia Fox rumored to be working in creative for SmackDown

Alicia Fox hasn’t been very active in the ring this year. Her last match was on Main Event in April when she teamed with Tamina to face The IIconics in a losing effort. Since then she appeared during the RAW Reunion in July and as a head-scratcher, she appeared as a returning legend. This brought up many questions amongst fans if she was officially finished in the ring. Fox nor WWE have announced her in-ring retirement at this time.

Reported by The Sportster and then by Ring the Belle, it is said that Fox is currently working as part of creative backstage. She is said to be working with Eric Bischoff to create weekly content for SmackDown.

Fox isn’t the only one who is said to be stepping to other roles within the company. Mickie James was recently spotted as a commentator for Main Event this week. James currently is out of action due to an injury and a successful surgery thereafter. The recovery time will have her out until next year. There is no confirmation that she is finished with her work in-ring nor is there word on if she will continue on commentary.

What are your thoughts on Fox potentially working with creative? Do you think this could mean better roads ahead for SmackDown’s women’s roster? Discuss your thoughts in the comment section.
