Mae Young Classic 3 is being advertised for next month *Updated*

Update– It is now being reported that the next Mae Young Classic might not be happening after all. Well, at least not at the dates originally announced.

It is being said by Casey Michael of Squared Circle Sirens that according to his sources in NXT they had no knowledge of MYC 3.

It apparently was a mistake on the ticket/website side for announcing it. There is currently no mention of this event on the NXT Tickets website, however, if you do a Google search for “Mae Young Classic tickets” you can see where it was advertised.

As the year is fastly speeding by us it has become unnerving for female wrestling fans. Not only has there been no mention of an Evolution 2, but a third Mae Young Classic hasn’t been announced just yet either. Finally, there is some light at the end of this dark tunnel.

On Nov. 2 and Nov. 3, it is said that the tapings for the next MYC will be conducted at the home of NXT, Full Sail University in Winter Park, Fla. This information comes from the NXT Tickets website. WWE has yet to announce any participants or the tournament itself as of yet.

In August, Triple H would comment on the tournament returning, but it will be coming later in the year than normal. With so much going on within the company including the shift of SmackDown to the Fox Network it has caused certain things to be moved to a later date.

The previous Mae Young Classic winners have gone on to become champions in their own right. Toni Storm was the second NXT UK Women’s Champion and Kairi Sane has held the NXT Women’s Championship.

Who do you want to see from around the world participate in the third annual tournament?

Check back in with Diva Dirt as more news is announced for Mae Young Classic 3.
