SHIMMER’s latest set of tapings crowned two new champions.
The match was made when Shotzi Blackheart demanded a SHIMMER title shot before leaving for NXT. Priscilla Kelly and Kimber Lee came out both wanting a title shot.
As reported by Squared Circle Sirens, Nicole Savoy first eliminated Kelly but was soon ousted herself by Blackheart, ending her amazing 721-day title run in the process. Shockingly the longest-reigning champion in the history of the organization wasn’t in the final decision of the match. Lee capitalized and pinned Blackheart for the victory to be crowned new SHIMMER Champion
At the same taping Hyan was crowned the new interim Heart of SHIMMER. Hyan defeated Kris Statlander and Rhea O’Reilly in a triple-threat match tournament final.
The tournament was held due to Heart of Shimmer Champion, Samantha Heights‘ ACL injury that will keep her out of action for the foreseeable future. SHIMMER never vacates their titles so Hyan will defend the title in Heights’ absence.
These new champions combined with Team Sea Stars who won the tag titles yesterday make the promotion restart with all new titleholders.
