Kay Lee Ray joins Team Baszler for WarGames Match

On tonight’s NXT episode the women were highly featured. NXT TakeOver: WarGames is just 10 days away and Survivor Series is the following night. Leading into tonight we have all but one woman announced for the first-ever women’s WarGames Match. It is Team Ripley (Rhea Ripley, Candice LeRae, Tegan Nox, and Mia Yim) taking on Team Baszler (Shayna Baszler, Bianca Belair, and Io Shirai) with a fourth participant waiting to be announced.

The result of the main event showed that this woman will be NXT UK Women’s Champion – Kay Lee Ray.

The main event tonight was the highly anticipated Ladder Match between Io Shirai and Mia Yim. With the winner earning the advantage for the WarGames Match, both the stakes and tension was high. After Dakota Kai came out to help Yim by taking out Shirai, Kay Lee Ray’s shocking appearance would be the deciding factor. She drove Kai into the steel steps before entering the ring to take out Yim. She would push over the ladder that Yim was on which caused her to come crashing down to the outside of the ring through another ladder.

Shirai would then take advantage and climb the ladder to retrieve the briefcase which wins her team the advantage at WarGames. Afterward, Baszler would come out clapping to the results which solidified Kay as the final member for her team.

SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley would attack Baszler on the ramp from behind as Team Baszler runs to help their team captain. Bayley retreats to end the show.

What are your thoughts on Kay Lee Ray being the final member of Team Baszler? Are you happy that NXT UK is getting involved in WarGames and possibly Survivor Series? Leave your thoughts in the comment section below.
