The Baddest Woman on the Planet was a force to be reckoned with in the world of MMA. A judoka who medalled in the Olympics and a UFC Bantamweight Champion who was undefeated, until she met Holly Holm. She was a multimedia star and mogul. She appeared in movies, television and was THE draw of UFC, and her success was in part tied to the women’s revolution of the WWE. When she joined, there was mainstream attention to her signing and she was one of the biggest draws in wrestling. She picked up wrestling quickly and headlined pay-per-views and had many eyes brought to the product. She was in many ways the female equivalent to Kurt Angle. She has done so much in one year, maybe we’ll see her back soon. Despite her short tenure, she added a level of legitimacy to women’s wrestling and her star power made even causal fans and MMA fans take notice.
