Tessa Blanchard voted IMPACT wrestler of the year 2019

Tessa Blanchard‘s monumental 2019 was commemorated by the IMPACT fans when they voted her IMPACT Wrestler of the Year.

Throughout 2019 Tessa Blanchard set the wrestling world on fire with her excellent performances, exciting feuds, and history-making matches. She brought Gail Kim out of retirement in a highly intense and passionate feud, which spanned months of the exciting build and culminated with an incredible match at Rebellion. In a passing of the torch moment, Gail Kim and Tessa gained each other’s respect, which cemented Blanchard’s face turn and began her journey to become IMPACT’s biggest star.

Tessa would continue to break boundaries and make history. Her match with Sami Callihan at Slammaversary XVII was the first intergender match to main event a professional wrestling PPV. This match was also voted 2019’s Match of the Year by the IMPACT fans.

After her match with Callihan, Blanchard’s popularity would soar and she would take part in many more unprecedented IMPACT matches. As her feud with OVE would escalate she would be the first women ever to challenge for the X-Division Championship in a 5-way ladder match at IMPACT’s biggest show of the year Bound for Glory.

Weeks later Blanchard would win a Gauntlet match to become the number one contender for Sami Callihan’s IMPACT World Championship wrapping up her unprecedented, history-making and groundbreaking year. This history-making match will take next week on Jan, 12. at IMPACT Hard to Kill.

Can Tessa capitalise on her amazing 2019 by becoming the first-ever woman to hold the IMPACT World Championship? I certainly think so.

Do you think Tessa Blanchard can make history once more? Let us know below and as always stay tuned to Diva Dirt for all of your IMAPCT news and updates.
