Battle Royal announced to decide Rhea Ripley’s next challenger

On tonight’s episode of NXT, Rhea Ripley would find herself alongside Toni Storm and Candice LeRae in a six woman tag team match. They would face the team of NXT UK Women’s Champion Kay Lee Ray, Bianca Belair, and Io Shirai.

Ripley would quickly find out that everyone was after her newly won title, even her own teammates. She would, in fact. pick up the win for her team but the tension didn’t end there. Storm would stare her down and LeRae admired the championship as she held it in her hands. After handing Ripley back her title, LeRae would raise the hands of her fellow winners.

As a response to everyone wanting a chance at the champion, it has been announced that a Battle Royal will take place next week. The winner will be the next challenger for Ripley.

The list of Battle Royal participants include:

An interesting name that is not on the list is Toni Storm. Although technically still a talent on the UK brand, she has made her intentions known. She plans to first win back the NXT UK Women’s Championship on Sunday at NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool II. Afterwards, she then wants to face Ripley at Worlds Collide.

The winner of the Battle Royal will face Ripley at NXT TakeOver: Portland on Feb. 16.
