Rumored returns for the Royal Rumble match

As the Royal Rumble match quickly approaches, there are only five women scheduled for it. Natalya was the last to be announced earlier today via social media. She joins Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, Nikki Cross, and Sarah Logan as the only ones to announce their participation.

PWInsider is reporting that Naomi, Nia Jax, and Ruby Riott will all be present at the event.

Naomi is the most likely to be returning in the actually match itself. She has been out of action since July due to personal reasons and health concerns. Her husband, Jimmy Uso, returned just a few weeks ago along with his brother on the SmackDown brand. It is believed that is where Naomi will be returning to. She was on RAW prior to her leave.

As for Ruby Riott and Nia Jax there is no confirmation that they will be in the match. They are being scheduled to be in Houston, TX at the event. Both ladies have been healing from respective surgeries.

Jax has been sidelined since WrestleMania in April. She came up short in the Women’s Tag Team Title match with her partner Tamina. It was then time to have surgery and she had both ACL’s repaired. According to this playing out on Total Divas, her hope was to return for WrestleMania 36 this year in Tampa, Fla. So if she does return it will be earlier than expected.

Riott has been out since May due to a bilateral shoulder injury. She had surgery on both of her surgeries as two separate operations. It was last reported that she was seen at the WWE Performance Center being checked out for a possible return just a few weeks ago.
