Five matches from Elimination Chamber events that are a must-see

Divas Championship – Nikki Bella (c) vs. Naomi vs. Paige Elimination Chamber 2015

Going back two years prior to when Naomi captured her first title with the company, she had a shot at the Divas Championship. This time however, she fell victim to Nikki Bella’s record breaking reign.

The beginning of the troubles between Naomi and Paige started with a Battle Royal in April 2015. After Paige eliminated Naomi from that match she earned a shot at the Divas Title. For the first time in her career, Naomi turned heel as an answer to Paige’s win. This took Paige out of the equation for several weeks.

Naomi would go on to challenge Nikki for the title at Extreme Rules but came up short. She formed the start of Team B.A.D with Tamina at this time. After these two picked up a win at Payback against The Bella Twins, Paige came back in the fold leading to the Elimination Chamber match.

Nikki would go on to win this Triple Threat and extending her reign. It may have been quite possible that Naomi would have won this if it weren’t for this very exact reason.

Women’s Tag Team Championship – Nia Jax & Tamina vs. Sonya Deville & Mandy Rose vs. The Riott Squad (Liv Morgan & Sarah Logan) vs. The IIconics vs. The Boss ‘N’ Hug Connection vs. Carmella & Naomi -Elimination Chamber 2019

Lastly, we round out the list with last year’s Elimination Chamber match. This one has all the makings of a great storytelling match as it was for the inaugural Women’s Tag Team Championship. The match included six tag teams.

Starting off the match were The Boss ‘N” Hug Connection and Sonya Deville & Mandy Rose. These two teams had a slight advantage over the rest of the teams as they participated in an Elimination Chamber match the prior year. They had so much of an upper hand actually that they started off this match and ended it as the final two teams.

The match went for a total of 33-minutes and it took up to 17-minutes until the first team of Naomi and Carmella were eliminated. The IIconics, The Riott Squad, and Tamina & Nia Jax followed suite in the eliminations.

After Rose almost won the match which had everyone convinced at that moment they would, Banks would apply the Bank Statement on Deville. At first it wasn’t working due to an injured arm, but Banks showed how inventive she could be as she used her leg to lock in the submission hold and win the match.

The Boss ‘N” Hug Connection became the inaugural Women’s Tag Team Champions.

For the upcoming RAW brand Elimination Chamber match to determine Becky Lynch‘s opponent at WrestleMania, only two women have been inside this structure before. Those women are Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan.
