NXT TakeOver: In Your House announced as next NXT event

It has been announced that the next NXT TakeOver event will be In Your House on June 7. This is nostalgia at its finest as the In Your House pay-per-view was a big draw in the late 1990s. It was a name given to the events that were not the main pay-per-views. Eventually, it was added to the names of pay-per-views such as Judgement Day and Unforgiven.

DX (Triple H, Road Dogg, and HBK) announced this on tonight’s NXT. Since everyone is spending more time locked inside their homes, they have decided to bring back the In Your House event one last time.

The last In Your House event was more than two decades ago in 1999. There was a total of 27 events in all. The last one aired was the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre. During its run, women were very rarely used but this event will obviously be much different. Charlotte Flair will undoubtedly defend her NXT Women’s Championship. The question is against who?

The last TakeOver event was in Portland in February. The last one in April that was scheduled to take place in Tampa Bay prior to WrestleMania was canceled as a result of the COVID pandemic. Its matches were instead aired on regular NXT weekly shows.

The event is scheduled to take place at Full Sail University at the NXT arena.

Check back in with Diva Dirt as more news of the event is developed leading up to June 7.
