Ariane Andrew returns to wrestling on AEW Dynamite

Girl Hi!!

Ariane Andrew is back in wrestling. She was announced as one half of the first team for the upcoming Women’s Tag Team Cup Tournament. Her partner? Nyla Rose.

The rules of the construction of the teams have come down to whoever picks the same color in a random draw. Earlier in the day, Rose was seen with her new manager Vickie Guerrero getting ready to pick her color. She says it really doesn’t matter who her partner will be as she is going to win. She draws the color purple!

Dasha lets Rose know that someone else has already picked the color purple. In comes Ariane. She declares that she is back!!

Rose didn’t appear to happy with who will be her tag team partner.

Andrew was known for her time in WWE where she went by the ring name of Cameron. She was originally one half of the Funkadactyls with Naomi. The two would work as a tag team until they split for their singles careers.

Along with Naomi, Ariane was an original cast member of the hit reality show Total Divas. Ariane had a Divas Championship match against the then-champion Aj Lee at Elimination Chamber in 2014. She won that match but by disqualification.

Ariane would choose to return to NXT to receive some additional training and shortly be released thereafter. She left the company in 2016.

She was planning a comeback to wrestling during WrestleMania weekend in Tampa, Fla. at an indie show that was named Effy’s Big Gay Brunch. The event did not take place as a result of the COVID pandemic. Her opponent was scheduled to be Jamie Senegal.
