Deonna Purrazzo may be the current Knockouts Champion but she has yet to sign a deal with IMPACT. It was previously rumored that she was offered a long-term deal by the company but there was no confirmation of her signing.
Via Fightful Select, they spoke with Purrazzo and she has confirmed that she wants to stay with IMPACT long-term. This has been made clear to them, however, there is still no confirmation that it is a done deal. There were talks that the original plan was she would leave the company in October prior to the offer being made.
Fightful Select also states that Purrazzo working with IMPACT has been advocated by Madison Rayne. Rayne reached out to Purrazzo after she was released by WWE from their NXT brand earlier this year. She then helped her get in touch with Co-Executive Vice President Scott D’Amore. Rayne is reported as one of Purrazzo’s biggest supporters.
Purrazzo will be defending her Knockouts Title against Kylie Rae at Bound for Glory on Oct. 24. She has held the title since defeating Jordynne Grace at Slammiversary in July. The champion last retained her title at Victory Road against Susie.
