Two more names added to the 2021 Royal Rumble match

Two of the more favorable names to win the 2021 Royal Rumble match have officially been announced. On this week’s SmackDown, Bianca Belair and Bayley have now declared their spots in the upcoming 30-woman match. They join Charlotte Flair and Nia Jax who have declared their spots from RAW.

Belair and Bayley have had a rivalry since Survivor Series and they will certainly be looking to continue that in the rumble match. While announcing their entrance, Bayley said that if Belair wins the rumble that she will end up just squandering away her title opportunity. Belair responded by saying she would have been honored to win the rumble and face Bayley but the Role Model is no longer champion.

While this exchange did happen on this week’s SmackDown, the powers that be must have not realized they have a women’s roster. Why you may ask? There wasn’t a women’s match on this week’s show. A big let down from a good week prior.

The following still occurred. Billie Kay tried to fit in with The Riott Squad. She put on an Oscar-winning performance with her tearful convincing that she can be punk and edgy. She has been listening to Blink 182 recently. She really just wants to be a part of something.

Carmella address Sasha Bank topping the Sports Illustrated list of best wrestlers of 2020. She says it is ironic that Banks tops the list in a year where she herself decided to take a bit of a vacation. Carmella adds that when it comes to talent, Sasha can’t touch her.

Lastly, Sonya Deville made a surprise return last week and was reinstated after losing a Loser leaves WWE match at SummerSlam. She says she is ready to put the past behind her as she speaks with WWE Producer and authority figure Adam Pearce. Pearce says that he could really use the help and that he is surprised that Deville would want the position. The full position isn’t clear yet but it will be interesting to see what Deville has up her sleeve.

What did you think of the segments from this week’s SmackDown? Do you think that Bianca or Bayley could be the one to win the Royal Rumble match? Could there really be room for Billie Kay with The Riott Squad? Leave your thoughts below!
