Diva Dirt Announces ‘The Alternative WrestleMania Match’

Over the past few years, it’s safe to say that WWE has been dropped the ball when it comes to the Divas and WrestleMania. Once the battleground for hard fought Women’s Championship matches, in recent years, what should be the grandest stage of them all has been the lowlight of the Divas’ year and has left fans bitterly disappointed too.

Last year’s Miss WrestleMania debacle was the last straw for us, and perhaps for many of you too. We have decided, on behalf of women’s wrestling fans worldwide, to take matters into our own hands. This Sunday, Diva Dirt will begin a new annual tradition to help put right where WWE has done fans wrong. We are offering all women’s wrestling fans an alternative match to the one WWE offers. Our goal is to provide a women’s match that we consider to be worthy of the WrestleMania stage and worthy of the fans’ time and more importantly, money. However the best part is, our match is 100% free.

The Alternative WrestleMania Match will do three things: give fans the opportunity to watch a WrestleMania-worthy women’s match; shine a spotlight on all the incredibly talented female wrestlers out there who perhaps one day dream of competing at ‘Mania; and finally, it will also give you the opportunity to see women’s wrestling from promotions that you may not have heard of before.

This year, we’re taking no chances and we’re not going to allow ourselves to be disappointed. We have teamed up with our good friends at ClickWrestle to select one incredible match that we think you are all going to love! But don’t worry, you won’t have to pay a cent to watch it. For 24 hours, on WrestleMania Sunday, you will be able to watch the match for free via a stream here at Diva Dirt.

The free stream will go up at midnight Eastern time on Saturday night/Sunday morning and be taken down on Sunday night/Monday morning at 12am ET.

Check back on Sunday to find out what our first ever Alternative WrestleMania Match will be and to watch!
